The best way for me to give u exact detail on your 540, send me a vid of your tornado and 540 attempt and i will tell u what to work on to perfect your 540 kick. (people tend to avoid what they have trouble mastering, keep working on it every time you have the chance. You'll get it. )

How do i turn my shoulders and hips while in air? Also how do i get a good high jump? Can i fall on my back while attempting this move?

Good question, (Hips and shoulders) it's all one motion. Your arms pull across your chest like a rainbows ark, this gives your upper body tork.
in that same motion your kicking leg(my left) is taking off from the ground off your toes(calf muscles)
Your arm swing should be stronger for the 540 than the tornado kick, creating more pull up on your leg when you take off.
