  • I see what you were trying to do but the execution absolutely sucks. This is a pain to listen to.

  • sorry but its just not good. i mean i enjoy the idea, but its just like puting concrete in bowl of cereals, just like that. but if you could work on it a little, it coul turn out nicely. and if you are wondering, of course johnny is the concrete

  • Damn, I just realized that this has twice as many dislike as it does likes. So much hate, oh well =)

  • @Yeahyeah2829 Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

  • The voices dont mix. The rip of Johnny and Tupac was pretty badass and their voices matched perfectly.

  • dude two of my favorite songs combined into one!!!

  • I like both songs but not together sorry. hmm just don't know what advice to give. Sorry

  • so strange..but not bad...

  • god cut 210 people down

  • Wild some how I enjoyed this..

  • the beat is to fast remember this is supposed to be a somber woefull song not a happy cheerful one and to acheave that i would suggest slowing the tempo of the beat

  • its a good idea that needs some refining, it sounds like it has potential.

  • Hmm...Interesting

  • 2 excellent tunes but unfortunatley they mix like oil and water but in places it is close

  • 187 PEOPLE HAVE NO CLUE WHAT A REMIX IS!

  • If I could make a suggestion: You might try to isolate Johnny's vocals and then run just the vocal track over the beat... it's good but it could be awesome.

  • @vince277 Thanks for the suggestion, if ever remake this I will definitely try that.

  • @vince277 I like it just the way it is. Much better than the other remixes out there.

  • @vince277 yeah i agree,i LOVE cashs vocals on the clint eastwood instrumental

  • its pretty good

  • @haloboii14 thanks

  • Could do with the vocals taking out of Clint Eastwood, then it'd be ace.

  • @Martinneedham861 i almost said the same exact thing until i saw you under my "Respond to this video..." box. xD

  • YES... JUST YES

  • good idea, but not good end result...take sometime and make it good and i'd buy it

  • awesome movie i love Denzel and this song is amazing along with Aint no grave can hold my body down

  • why is clint eastwood in the title? this is a remix (poorly done one at that, they must have realised it so they quit mixing in that other crap and left it nearly as is) still with johnny cash,

  • I wasn't a big fan of Denzel.. but I liked his film Book of Eli. And I liked Crimson Tide. Also in the comedy from the 80s "Carbon Copy". it was the 80s.. probably seen as demeaning towards blacks but it was meant to be to show humor in stereotype. And Malcom X was OK. So is this what you call "Mashing" (I think it's called Mash-up now).

  • @coptersoisoi I supose you could call it a mash-up. Also I've never seen Carbon Copy, I'll have to check it out.

  • @Gizmondo23 cool man. yeah, Carbon Copy is pretty funny. It has George Segal too. he plays Denzels father who is rich and didn't know he had fathered a son with a former black girlfriend.

  • @coptersoisoi lol, sounds funny.

  • @coptersoisoi Your not a big Denzel fan have you seen his Tony Scott films?

  • i was hoping it would be good but it doesn't work.

  • this movie was AMAZING, priceless, just so great, and both of these songs r great !!

  • @zcombs15 I love all three too.

  • Tell those 89 darn dislikes...

Tell 'em that GOD's gonna cut them down.

  • Sounds alright, but I think it would put it over the top if you could get just the vocals from Johnny to the background music of Clint Eastwood. Great concept though.

  • Not too bad.

  • Not too bad.

  • god(cash) spoke to Eli(gorillaz) to tell sinners he's gonna cut em down, and eli is happy, useless but not for long the future is comin on!

  • I thought this was pretty good, The beginning of the song doesn't work the best, and the video could have more variety, but the vid is mainly for the song. Great job on this. :D

  • if Gorillaz did a cover of God's Gonna Cut You Down, I would be the happiest teenager alive.

  • @rainbowmuppet that would be pretty awesome.

  • @rainbowmuppet No, if metallica were doing more covers like garage inc, and the original was redone by them, id start a revolution against all the wannabe musical artists, id make sure they were all executed properly, except bieber, he gets "special treatment" for his torture

  • @rainbowmuppet i would not be to happy

  • @rainbowmuppet me too

  • It's Good but it sounds kinda like i put a headphone in each ear with a different song in each one..But really its good

  • you need to smooth it out a bit, but it's a great mix, man

  • @ispywithmygoodeye thanks, it is a little rough but I put a lot of work into it, I might try and redo it sometime soon.

  • @Gizmondo23 You might try using Sony Vegas (which is actually a video making program), I downloaded the 30 Day trial from the Sony website and you can make some pretty smooth remixes or edits once you get the hang of it.

  • @ispywithmygoodeye That's actually what I used and I couldn't have made this without it. The beat from the johnny cash song drifts a little so I had to shorten and lenghten the loop a little every couple of loops.

  • I almost like it, but the combination doesn't yet quite work for me :)

  • Not bad, really! :D

  • Awesome remix! Love the vid :)

  • @FAUXLAVEAU Thanks, I had a lot of fun making it.

  • this movie is seriously underratted

  • @gothboy195 yeah, it was surprisingly good.

  • 1:04-1:06 is awesome! great job!

  • @MolineScott thanks

  • it was crazy how he was blind and your beginning is a tiny bit rough so are your transitions

  • @JokerofDawn Yeah the movie was cool. I know the transitions were mediocre at best but I couldn't fix them and I already put a lot of time into it so I just put it on youtube anyway.

  • Denzel is badass in The Book Of Eli but the Johnny Cash beat is the best part of the song. I like the origional beat best but i apreciate what you trying to do bro. Keep i tup, you've got talent.

  • @dhfountain Thanks, I know it's not perfect and I prefer the original also but I put a lot of time and effort into this and I really appreciate you kind words.

Also Denzel was crazy in Book of Eli.

  • @dhfountain Good stuff! I just stumbled across this getting my Johnny Cash fix which lead to this song with Boondock saints which lead to this...lol WOW. I like the extra song spliced in with Johnny. You did very well. It makes a nice dichotomy, one voice invoke feelings of a worldly, hedonist/cynic and the other voice tired, wizzened warning of holy wrath. Neat.

  • @captainamerica1a Thanks man, I appreciate the support.

  • this is effin awesome!

  • This is a cool remix. I like the idea of the two remixed, but the high pitched pianoish? sound of Clint Eastwood clashes with Johnny Cash. Just IMHO. But it's a really well done concept. 8)

  • This actually made to want to watch The Book of Eli. Great remix!

  • @Blockycube Thanks, it's not perfect but I spent a lot of time on it, also the movie was pretty good.

  • Cool!

  • I love your remake of the song
