Great review, except the comments on plastic made no sense. I just traded in an Acura RDX for the Sportage EX. I don't see any difference in the quality of the materials used on the interior. What materials other than plastic are used on the interior of cars?
@m4mm4l This new Sportage is quite a bit bigger than the old one. There is 26.1 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats -- which is actually more space than the latest Ford Explorer has behind its back seats (just 21 cu ft). If you fold the seats in the Sportage down, you get an impressive 54.6 cu ft back there -- which should be plenty of room for three dogs... Of course the Explorer has three rows of seats -- so folding the back two rows down gives you a total of 80.7 cu ft.
Own the EX AWD Sportage...LOVE IT! Only cost me 23,500 OUT THE DOOR! great car, great price, eat your heart out Honda and chevy. Test drove the others and this was by far the best deal. I rave to all my friends about what a great deal i got!
@gotitans999 Leather is available on the EX as part of the optional Premium package, which adds $2,900 to the MSRP on a new Sportage. That package also includes heated front seats, a cooled driver's seat, panoramic sunroof, push-button start and a few other things. Of course if you're buying used, the value of that package should depreciate with the rest of the car. Check Kelley Blue Book (KBB) for pricing on used cars.

@TonyGehrig How many miles did it have when you got it? Does the EX have leather? I'm thinking about getting one today! :)
