@slmfc78 And of Ray!... he really got into the meaning of the song... the desperation Leon had to have felt when he wrote it to Rite Coolidge when she left him.... i love how it starts out with Leon's older voice (than he was when it was written), then went to Willie, then Ray took it away... made it his... remarkable... you can feel the respect and love from Leon and Willie to Ray... and Ray would be the first whose life would be over, out of the three... and we remember him singing this song..

@milyon1 You are so right. I feel as you do. Vivid description of all the emotions many of us have felt. The most touching part of the clip is realizing Leon and Willie let Ray keep goin', gave him the rest of the performance.  When Willie tears up, it just kicks my own tears into high gear. Great song, great performance, much respect.
