Well it does seem to add more depth and luster to the tone and contrast of the objects, but it also does a number on your PC's performance. That's probably just FRAPS being annoying though. lol
I just recorded myself with FRAPS using HDR on low and the same level again on HIGH, there is a difference. For one, Sheva has a shotgun on her back and it casts a shadow on her back but the shadow doesn't look right (especially on her skirt... I am using club costume). With HDR to high, I see no shotgun shadow, and everything looks much better.

Poor comparison, best to do a split screen or at least shorten the clip.... 20 seconds of HDR low and 20 seconds of HDR high = done
