@QuantumQuacks how about learning a little about hemp and its uses as a fuel. A few minutes would reveal to you that hemp contains much higher amounts of ethanol per lb, and hemp grows at a much faster rate. There is no comparing hemp and corn as a bio-fuel as hemp destroys corn. No one is calling for an end to fossil fuels as that is ridiculous, but ending its use in transportation and textiles would be a huge relief to the obvious impact we are having.

@spites1 Actually if it was legalized then it allows you to grow it yourself, the reason it's a threat to the oil industry is that you can make from pot everything you can make from oil and more with less harm on the environment and it can grow anywhere so no more oil wars, it's a threat to tobacco as pot isn't carcinigenic and people would rather smoke it instead and since they can grow it it's free.
@spites1 its a threat to the oil industry because of hemp oil. the first model T ran on hemp oil, but it could fuel all of our cars and the crop lets off the same amount of air as it takes in so its a closed cycle, using it for cars instead of gas puts an end to the greenhouse effect.

We haven't fully researched it enough to be able to give advice to smokers. People don't usually know which strain is best for them since they get it from wherever available. There is also talk about the possibility of triggering a heart attack in those with heart conditions. Also we don't know the effects of it on some people with medical conditions.

A study was even done to determine if marijuana use in AIDS patients taking the latest pharmaceutical had any negative effects on the patient or negative interactions with the drug, and there were none. The only negative bodily effect of marijuana comes from the act of smoking it, and there are many ways to enjoy marijuana without setting it on fire ;)

Just because alcohol and or prescription drugs are legal doesn't mean they are "good" or "better" for you. I agree that one of the biggest reasons it's illegal has to do with large corporations losing business. The economy could be boosted by selling pot itself and using hemp products. @QuantumQuacks how about learning a little about hemp and its uses as a fuel. A few minutes would reveal to you that hemp contains much higher amounts of ethanol per lb, and hemp grows at a much faster rate. There is no comparing hemp and corn as a bio-fuel as hemp destroys corn. No one is calling for an end to fossil fuels as that is ridiculous, but ending its use in transportation and textiles would be a huge relief to the obvious impact we are having.

California officials decided that Rosenthal was a good pick to run an aspect of the state's medical marijuana dispensing program(?) If you examine the medical marijuana law of ANY state, you will see that there is a very strict set of conditions that must be met, in order to qualify "medically" in that respective state's MMJ program. On certain pre-existing conditions qualify. The rest of "us" have had further restrictions imposed. The state wrested control, the people are disempowered.

@spites1 Actually if it was legalized then it allows you to grow it yourself, the reason it's a threat to the oil industry is that you can make from pot everything you can make from oil and more with less harm on the environment and it can grow anywhere so no more oil wars, it's a threat to tobacco as pot isn't carcinigenic and people would rather smoke it instead and since they can grow it it's free.

@spites1 its a threat to the oil industry because of hemp oil. the first model T ran on hemp oil, but it could fuel all of our cars and the crop lets off the same amount of air as it takes in so its a closed cycle, using it for cars instead of gas puts an end to the greenhouse effect.

We haven't fully researched it enough to be able to give advice to smokers. People don't usually know which strain is best for them since they get it from wherever available. There is also talk about the possibility of triggering a heart attack in those with heart conditions. Also we don't know the effects of it on some people with medical conditions.

A study was even done to determine if marijuana use in AIDS patients taking the latest pharmaceutical had any negative effects on the patient or negative interactions with the drug, and there were none. The only negative bodily effect of marijuana comes from the act of smoking it, and there are many ways to enjoy marijuana without setting it on fire ;)

Actually, the LD-50 rating given for cannabis has been quoted as 30,000 or 40,000, depending on the source.
This means, essentally, that in order to overdose, you need to consume 30,000 to 40,000 times the dose needed to "get you high."
That's like smoking an entire garage filled with pot...IN ONE SITTING.
This is so unlikely to occur that you might as well say that it's just not physically possible to EVER injest enough cannabis to cause death by overdose.

It would be physicaly impossible to get the amount you need to die in you fast enough to kill you and assuming you could manage to do it fast enough you would die more likely from something like an artery clogged up with hash oil than the hash oil itself lol .

They actually DO cherry-pick the laws they enforce. The easiest ones are always enforced when they bring in fines--i.e: REVENUE--to protect their jobs.
I've seen it myself a thousand times in my own home town, and I'm sure if you took the time to look, you'd see the same in yours as well.
We need to get useless and damaging laws off the books so that they're not abused by profiteers...such as police trying to protect their job security.

Legalize Cannabis. It's 10000X less harmful than nicotine, alcohol, and most of the over the counter drugs.. Marijuana is a good cure for insomnia, anxiety, paranoia, depression, stress, anorexia, or natural loss of appetite.. Great natural muscle relaxer. Plus, legalizing would improve the market by starting businesses that sell plants and seeds, then more jobs would be available. I could smoke 3 blunts of it and not overdose like the crap capsuals and pills, that are 'painkillers'.
