  • Awww is brea liom!!

    an mhaith...

  • This song is gorgeous, and I'm so glad that songs like this are being translated to Irish. How else is the language to survive? - it really isn't dead yet, though some days I'm certain it's close to it, which is sad. I like having a language that's all our own. Sure not many people speak it, and even fewer speak it well, but I don't think that that's even the point. The point is, it's ours and we should cherish it.

  • can someone please send me this ? or even a link to it , cause its not on the H&G album

  • @punknation101 send me a email ill send mp3 version

  • @Calmacara this song is in englis too

  • @Calmacara it's great lanauage to learn and what better way through music :)

  • @Calmacara here there is an english version of the song

  • @patrickY619 i know i´ve found it

  • Usually English songs changed to Irish dont translate/change very well.. this sounds great though. I remember learning this song in Irish for Seactain Na Gaeilge in 1st year.

  • Great version of the song, terrible choice of video. It's a song, leave the politics out of it please

  • <3 lOVEEEEEEEEEEEE iTtt:)

  • <3 iiTt;) Dannnnay wowZers :D

  • that comment just adds to my opinion that you are a narrow minded freak whos talking out their arse.

  • Is amadan thú.

Look you prat, the words of the song are totally pro peace process. Have a read of the lyrics in the info and don't be such a prick

  • @96cambridge the lyrics of the song arent nationalist in tone, but this video is

  • @corsellus How do you see that? The vid shows the mess the north was in riots, violence, police being attacked, civilains being attacked etc. Then you have people who were totally oppossed to eah other coming together. The ghosts of the past and the heroes from both side need to be recognised, respected and people need to move forward

  • Is do thuaimse é.

Taht;s your opinion and you are entitled to it. Irish speakers wish to peacefully rekindle the language. This is in very different from the manner in which the language was taken away from ordinary people.

  • I love the language. I am tryin to get some people to learn it in America around my town, showin them how great the Irish are. I wish the language was spoken more

  • @96cambridge I just wish Irish was the first language in Ireland and English second :'(

  • @corsellus

I'm Irish and I'm shocked to see someone who can speak fluent Irish in Ireland. Language is dead now.

Ask an american why they love being Irish. Dum really.

  • @nicolevins

I'm an American who speaks fluent Irish agus ní labhraím ach Gaeilge le mo chuid cairde in Éirinn. Níl an Ghaeilge marbh!

  • @caoimhin8

    Yes, it is.

Only in Gaeltacht areas they speak Irish.

Or else some teachers speak it so we can't understand what they say.

  • @nicolevins What are ya talking about?? Ya obviously have no idea cause it is comin back. I speak it every day and I am not from the Gaeltacht. I hear it bein spoken in Dublin even and there are gaelscoils everywhere. You really have no idea at all what you are talking about!!

  • @michealomainin

Where I live, no one speaks it. I only know of 1 irish school in town.

  • @nicolevins Ya, YOU know of one!! I know of plenty. What age are you like 12?

  • @nicolevins u obviously have no clue! its not dyin! it was dead about 100 years ago except for gaeltacht regions but now u see irish an telivisions, newspapers even forms have an irish side to it! more and more people are speakin irish! even the chinese have irish classes! in the european union u are aloud to speak it and even some phones are in irish! so obviously u have no clue! idiot

  • @Polomint14

It's dying in my county anyway.

If not even 50% of the country speak it, I consider it dead.

  • @nicolevins dat makes no sense at all! just because u consider it dead doesnt mean it is!

  • @nicolevins Fucking disgraceful attitude to have. its a living growing language. its part of our identity and will come back.

    Beidh an lá linn

  • @corsellus

because its not just a language. Its our heritage! And in my honest opinion, our ancestors would be appalled to hear us speaking the language of the country that invaded Ireland.

  • @corsellus is é gaeilge an teanga is fearr! is é do thuairim ach ná deir linn é mar is teanga den céd scoith é agus is breá den cuid is mó de na daoine atá in ann é a laibheart é! mo phóca!!

  • Is aoibhinn liom amhrán seo, tá sé i bhfad níos fearr as Gaeilge.

    Fís iontach :)

Áfach, ní mhaith liom na páistí ag screadach ag deireadh an fhís. Is fúma uafásach é sin

  • Tá amhrán seo an-haláinn. Chuireann sé fónta fearr i nGaeilge.

Please forgive me if I didn't say that right. I'm still learning...

  • wtf is goin on at da end

  • Comment removed

  • ailish086, go to the Gaeltacht more, it helps a lot to be ag labhairt as Gaeilge an t-am ar fad

  • best song evarrrr =D

  • Cén fádh níl an amhrán seo ar CD na Coronas?

  • yeah sin cad a cheap mé freisin..ceapaim go bhfuil sé ar Ceol 08 ach fós is fearr liom an amhráin as gaeilge! :(

  • Is aoibhinn liom é! To people fluent in Irish watching this, i'd like some help. I'm in 5th year in school and i'm good at irish but i want to become fluent. I'm trying to immerse myself in it as much as i can.

    Any tips? :)

  • Watch tg4 as much as you can.. helped me soo much :)

  • @ailish086 TG4 is great...and if you can...spend some time in the gaeltacht!! Also keep listening to irish music...buy an irish speaking album of some sort! It helps!

  • you need to speak the language so much that you begin to think as gaeilge....it will be deacair a dhóthain ach fan leis agus tiocfaidh sí!

great to see another young irish person interested sa ghaeilge

  • ailish086, the gaeltacht will help hugely, but try speaking Irish at home, even if it's only in small amounts. As the saying goes; Is fearr Gaeilge briste, ná Béarla cliste! TG4 is great for training your ear (if you had listening tests coming up), and as well as that listening to raidió na gaeltachta will help you keep up with the latest news as gaeilge. Go n-éirí leat!

  • Use the language as much as u can speaking with mates

  • Is aoibhinn liom an guth BAC ag an deireadh

  • i'm irish, but i don't speak it:( wish i did, i really have no clue what the words are:L

  • rely means something, wish i could write this in irish

  • ta se sin go hiontach an grupa is fearr in Eireann ach anois ta Jedward againn,,,,,

  • Ó mo dhia. An bhfuil tú ag cur 'The Coronas' i gcomparáid le 'Jedward'? Ná déan, ná déan. Níl sé sin ceart in AON chor. Níl Jedward ábalta faic a dhéanamh. Níl siad ábalta canadh, níl siad ábalta dámhsa, níl siad ábalta caint i gceart ar an telifis féach ar an 'Toy Show'). Uaireanta, tá siad greannmhar, ach sin é mar tá siad comh uafásach agus aimeadach. Agus tá talún ceart ag na Coronas!
