WHY did they cancel this show when it was one of the most highly rated shows on the WB in that time? I know, I know WB became CW and it didn;t fit the format - but I will never understand it! I own all seven seasons and I still laught at the townspeople, root for Jess and Rory and cry with Rory and Lorelei - even though I have watched the seven seasons in order, at least 50 times!

its all stupid alexis bledel's fault. she quit the show. i think that was incredibly selfish of her, i mean obv. she has to think about what SHE wants to do, but this is one of the most beloved show of all time, and she let it end with something that was supposed to be a season finale. it had no proper ending! the show deserves more and the fans deserve more. the actors have some obligation to us, she didn't even care... and i will never, ever, EVER forgive her for it.

Actually, it wasn't just her. Lauren talked about it in an interview. She and Alexis were working their butts off with the episodes and both were stressed -- emotionally and otherwise. They worked like, 6/7 days a week and most of the hours that day. They had the most demanding roles in the show, give her a break, geez.
