btw, the torrent download link for the mtx file is on the mektek site, the same with the mtx client

did that, but it won't work for reasons unknown. tells me i'm in offline mode all the time and i have no option to change that. also the list that should display mechwarrior 4 in the mtx client is empty. in the end i had to torrent download the install file (the 028somewhat thingy) seperately and THEN install it with the mtx client. btw, there is an hd patch out there wich will improve the graphics significatnly but i'm not sure if it worked. probably because i haven't installed the updates yet

They changed the download location. If you head to mektek dot net and scroll down a little bit, there's a big banner on the right hand side. Follow the instructions, the way they decided to distribute the game is a little difficult to understand. Good luck, and see you in the arena.

If you bye the disk for this game, tell me and i can get you up to date on a bunch of new mechs you have never seen before. Such as my favorites, The Wilcat and the Ares :)

I agree, MW4 was fun. But... if you like mechs you should try out the Crysis total conversion Mechwarrior: Living Legends (still beta). Is a mod, its free, next major update will be released the weeks (0.4).

There are dozens of fanmade vids in the net, everything from just frapsed ingame footage to league games to fan trailers.

You need to play this with a FF joystick. Each footstep will shake the stick. Oh yeah if you can, find the original because the Mek Tek packs are different from the original.

The one thing that is very different in MW4 from all the others is that if you get 'legged' you don't blow up but become 'crippled' and your speed slows to 1/2. If you lose all your legs you basically become a turret.
