Agriculture is state-supported big business. Zimbabwe's old logistics systems are broken (dug up, yanked out, or busted). So Zimbabwe just has to design and develop new systems that support food security.
Food Aid agencies are good at one thing: "begging bowl logistics". Zimbabwe should develop some real know-how so they can kick them to the curb. LOL
Even in New Zealand, bastion of free trade, the Green Party has asked Fonterra to charge lower prices for milk in NZ than overseas, essentially a subsidy
Lesson is subsidies and tariffs stop rich countries buying food from poor countries
If poor countries don't want to sell food then they don't have to. I couldn't care less where my food came from, as long as it's as cheap as possible.
Why should we pay more just because some countries can't be bothered to sort themselves out?
RESPECT
In sending respect to the World Bank I ask for the same respect be given to the nations who become vulnerable by your strategies and policies.

Couldn't agree more; they don't want interference from the 'evil West' yet are whining to us every 5 minutes for more money. Fuck em.
