Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be shocked to find out a government did something horrible as an ends to their means- there are a lot of corrupt governments. That said, I highly doubt anyone "caused" the earthquake in Haiti. Of course, I have no proof to back up my belief. But then, you have no proof to back up yours either. And that's why conspiracy theories are so powerful. They can't be proven OR disproven.

Mr. Cooper hits the nail on the head. Even if we ignore the systemic failures of government that lead to inadequate building safety in their capital and just start at t+30 seconds after the end of the quake, their response, the United Nations' response, even to some degree the international first responders who flew in, the response has not been effective, and people are dying unnecessarily of treatable injuries on an incredible scale.

Things worsen in Haiti; they've not yet hit bottom.
