  • Oh Fry, you idiot.

  • Phil's Stephen Fry impressions have got to be the funniest thing ever.

  • @ImJoeYeah The beginning was staged but I don't think anything after that was.

  • This is PERFECT! xD

  • Yes, cows are worshipped in India by Hindus, not by Christians, it was a trick question, btw.. Look up Nandi or Nandi hills India, for more info about the sacred cow

  • I'm a Hindu, and yes we worship cows in India, since it's lord shiva's vaahan(vehicle), for more info, look up Nandi hills, India. QI got this one wrong too

  • @numlink567 Who cares.I worship my left testicle because it is the vessel of Lord Muck.all praise be to him.For a race that is behind IT around the world,I am amazed at the superstitious rubbish they believe in.

  • Alan's so cute :)

  • I love Alans little "aw" when Stephen got the one question right. xD I also love how much fun he had with this haha.

    "Stephen, you idiot."

  • Fry, Cambridge!! hahaha

  • oh fry, you idiot! alan is really enjoying this situation :D

  • Why has Stephen done up the last button of his jacket? Not what one would expect from a gentleman.

  • So what *do* we call the Hindu attitude to cows?

    Apart from vegitarianism, I mean.

  • @KapStuf I'm a Hindu.. and let me assure we do hold cows "sacred".. There ARE statues of a cow demi-god in temples.. we do worship cows during certain festivals.. and they are generally well respected animals...

  • @ayush359 Yes, I *thought* Alan was using the common QI trick of selectively pedantic definition of words. Like when they used only the *catholic* defintion of marriage to show Henry VIII had only 2 wives.

But is there a word in Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati etc. that describes the Hindu type of sacredness for cows? And is it a different word than used to describe sacred books, or people?

  • Aww, poor Stephen.

  • Stephen looks so uncomfortable acting the little script they have worked out for changing places, and then when he realises he's been trcked...

    Then he looks *very* uncomfortable!

  • @MrBuch169169 >implying he can't act

  • @mob67285 Oh actually I think he's a good actor - just that he wasn't enjoying this particular script until it got real.
