  • Very useful video!!!

  • Muy buen video, soy peruano y estoy estudiando ingles gracias por este video, aprendi mucho, Dios los bendiga. hasta pronto!

  • I like this Jewish music:D

  • Thank you for this video but as far as I know the transcription for transport is [trænsˈpɔːt]. I am in doubt...

  • @19Helga69 Your transcription is fine, as well, but the main stress is on the first syllable, not the second.

Thanks for watching and for commenting.

    Best wishes,

    Richard

  • @Linguaspectrum Thanks for answering, but I was thinking about using the long [ɔː] instead of the diphthong [əʊ]

  • @19Helga69 Yes, the long vowel /ɔː/ fits according to the OED. You have a good ear, possibly better than mine.

    Best wishes,

    RIchard

  • indiana jones used most of those :P

  • really good lesson , but can you remove the music , it decontrates me

  • Hello Richard,

thank you a lot for such good lessons, they are very useful. And pictures are good and understanble.

  • Most people in England call a locomotive a train.

If you ask for the locomotive station they won't know that you mean the train station.

  • Wow I learned (nothing because i'm English ha :P) but they look helpful. I just never understand the written pronunciation.

  • very good!

  • Very enjoyable, starting from an early age! The music is also very ad hoc, I find.

  • no offense , but I have to say...the background music is a little annoying...

  • @101MIATANG

"...the background music is a little annoying..." I agree :(

  • dont offence but music is really annoying but lessons are good

  • Your first video about dentist, is excellent, but I continue view your videos and you began with the phonetics. I think that s not good to learn english. Is better listen and learn pronunciation, and look images like your first video. Phonetics only confuse and it is extrañe letters, rare simbols...

  • @MrAntiReligiones Okay. Take a look at the English Social Network videos. These should give you what you want.

  • @Linguaspectrum Don't listen to them, transcriptions are helpful

  • all the pictures are old. i don't know why.maybe you are a person of other time

  • @flowyet20 Hi, and thanks for watching. The pictures are old because I am old, too. Thanks for commenting.

    Best wishes,

    Richard

  • that was really interesting and i didn't regret watching it :)

  • helps alot , ur accent is so clear , pure . thank you so much

  • thank you very much for the videos! it helped me a lot with my vocabulary :)

  • warning-advert before this clip...desperate shape of things to come here.

  • is it british or american english ?

  • @krlos4343 British.

  • Hello. Your videos are very nice. The figures and the music seem to fit wel and the vocabulary are very rich. Thanks.

  • Your video is very slick and well put together but I have a some criticisms of it. Firstly, it is not very communicative, so there's not a lot for the student to do apart from watch. My second criticism is related to the first, it is not at all student centred. Students might find it's easier just to buy a book and tape. Sorry

  • Hi. Thanks for your comments, for visiting my channel and for taking the time to watch the video. I guess you haven't found the extra materials that make this, and the other videos on this channel, very student-centred? I invite you to follow the link that you will find in the video description. See what you find and let me know what you think. I value your opinion.

    Best wishes,

    Richard

  • The beauty of this channel and my online school is that students don't have to buy books, tapes or anything else. They get these lessons free and a whole lot more besides.

I hope you'll agree that my site is well worth the subscription fee - which is nothing at all.

  • @Linguaspectrum Nice answer to those who sit in their chair looking the jobs that especial people do to help others and try to find imperfections. So easy to talk but to do THERE'S ALWAYS HARD WORK. Sorry about my english but it's getting better due to your kindness. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  • Thank you very much LINGUASPECTUM;

  • thx 5 stars

  • I luv phonetics! keep up the good work! so helpful!
