There is an old movie that came out in the 60's that is almost exact to the script. Look it up and try to rent it at a local video store or something. I played the king 4 years ago now when I was in high school.

wow...you are so lucky...i dont know if its just my teacher who hates me or your'e the exception, but my teacher REFUSED to let me do both a production job (choreographer) and a lead role (Mulan, yes we were doing Mulan)...she actually lied to me about it at first saying i could and then when i was all excited and happy she went: oh wait, did i say that? my bad, you can;t be the lead...i cried for an entire day

Thats rude & cruel. Once someone says that, they shud stick 2 it. I no a bit about how u feel: @ my school u "work ur way up thru the ranks" of parts as u go up the yrs. However, they messd it bout & nw the same 3 pple had the leads 4 the last 3 yrs! So infuriatin!

BTW, the skwl in the video must hav a lotta money 2 spend on those v nice sets & costumes - ours we make (which arent bad - the textiles dept. is amazing). ur production of Cinderella lks incredible! Lovely performance - gr8 voice!

ya, its the same thing at my school, except our direcor suddenly decided to give every senior with hadnt had a lead before a bigger part, and the ones who had proven themselves already didn't get leads.

I went from being the queen my junior year to being an extra my senior year. i was pissed.

That is kind of cruel, We are doing Cinderella right now and our lead play Cinderella is also a lead choreographer for dance. Without her dancing advise the show wouldn't be half as good.
