how nice i work at a lodge at aspen call lime light and the have posters from this guys in the restrooms , and i was expecting something very different this is great!!
Thanks for sharing this video... I was so crazy about The Limeliters my parents took me to see them play at Massey Hall in Toronto when I was 10 or 11. I remember the person next to me was blown away because I named every song they played!
"It begins with a waltz-like passage in B-flat major, which has proved itself to be uhhh...heh heh...well nigh irresistible...especially to those of us with a history of..flamenco rejection..."
Gal at 2:10 about chokes on the olive from her martini..."[a getup] that we got quite reasonably at a garage sale out in back of Elton John's house...."
A class act. I saw them many times. Vocally unique, funny and intelligent. Very entertaining. And very interesting individuals offstage...Totally different and not necessarily compatible with one another.
I'm not a real intellectual guy, but I have always appreciated the natural born wit that the Limeliters have always had. AND I'm only 46.
