what's the point of this review? this guy is just getting the info off the Internet and reading it aloud (in the blandest way), could have done it myself!
I am excited about the Adam. If you don't mind me asking, why are you leaning towards the MSI? I don't know much about this stuff. I like the Pixel Qi screen the Adam will have though. You can turn the backlight off and use it like e-ink for reading, to reduce eye strain and conserve battery life. It is also said to have something like 16 hours battery life. (when in color LCD mode and much more than that in e-ink mode) It sounds pretty awesome.
The tablet PC has failed for years. and the HP slate is nothing new. its still taking a desktop grade OS and cramming it into a netbook-class device without the keyboard. Windows 7 like all their other OS versions are made for powerful desktop computing. it's too big and bloated to fit on underpowered notebooks and tablets. I think the HP Slate will fail like all its predecessors as far back as 2001. You can't do the same thing and expect a different result.
as i mentioned in a previous video the iphone and Android OS's will be the ones that will sell the most on mobile devices not windows 7. the app catalogue for Android and ipad will surpass desktop apps if they haven't already because the developer eco-system is much more enthusiastic than windows, OS X and desktop flavours of Linux. Windows is not designed for touch. Most people won't use powerful applications when their on the road because that's what desktops and powerful laptops are for.
Yes,you are probably right,Apple claims the iPad will works on battery 10h,ok ,they aren't be 10h, but may be 8-9h. The same thing is with the french tablet called ExoPC,who's claims 4,they probably will be 3-3.5h.
I'm definitely prefer the ExoPC then iPad. With windows 7 you have a lot of options ,install and remove what ever you want, has a webcam,is 16:9 screen format,2USBs and 2GB RAM.
Another option for tablet is Viliv X70,with 7" screen
I'm thinking of getting the ExoPC because it runs full Windows 7 with a 1.6 ghz processor which would work great. Do you know if it acknowledges handwriting compatibility?
Another Tablet you didn't say was the Microsoft Courier, it seems like probably the best tablet that will come ou,t but the date is only estimated as they only showed a concept video
oh man, who wants to see you guess about stuff and read from a webpage...
