  • want my song back .........

  • you are a really great pilot...do you give lessons?

  • Hi, yes I was out with a student & one club member today despite it being a bit damp.... ended up with two soaked wings so hope the weather is ok in the morning to give them a quick dry!

If your ever over from Germany give me a shout, we've plenty of open sites (this site has Council restriction on flying)

  • Whats the song called ?

  • Sorry I don't know, it was Dreadlock Holiday, but I 'YouTube Audio swap' changed the background due to copyright issues.

  • Love the casual "AFTERNOON" @ 3.12 Murray.LOL. Lovely spot. Thanks.

  • :):):):):):)

  • I love this video! Thank you!

  • paragliding near rocks ;) good idea ;)

  • "near rocks"? where in this video? Mind you I've lots of other clips where I an flying just inches from rocks/barb wire etc. even on fast downwind beats and in 3,000+ hrs flying I've still not hit anything unless you count scraping the outer covering of the odd tip line over the years! (normaly when skimming low next a sea wall)

  • isn't it risky to jump over fences?

  • "Jumping" would be, however I fly over them using the wing to lift me, one of the common error I correct is the idea that we "jump' off hills... I point out that if a pilot 'jumps' the wing is highly likely to collapse, the legal discription of PG's is (class three hang gliders) "an aircraft with no primary ridgid structure" ;-)

  • Basic physics; our wings flown efficently vertical speed= -3mph, so provided the air deflected up (at the location of the wing) +3 you stay up. With a small sea wall anything above 8 kts wind speed can be enough to permit turns, however a less steep slope with a good 'approach shape' (scoop, like here) can in practice give more lift as the wind has time to gain a vertical component and the 'lift band' is wider 'fitting' the wing span better.

  • Love the look off that, would you get much lift from some a small bank?

  • Best 'ridge' height at this site is around 150ft... (more on a thermic day)
