only downside to speedball is that they use waterbased inks which are pretty crap if you want good results. plastisol inks are much better, they dont dry in the screen and when your done you can scoop it back up and put it in the pots. you can leave it all day in the screen and it wont dry. it has to be heat cured. this ink will just wash out pretty fast

what type of ink would you recommend to use over a stained surface? please give examples for both water based & oil base stains... thanks

When you pull up the masking tape will it harm the screen?

@VonCarnstein No - masking tape is used because it works well as a barrier without damaging the screenprint screen.
