xtraman25....this song is actually based on the guitar work from "Tuolumne". Apparantly Eddie had the intention of turning that instrumental into a song sometime after ITW was released. Great song, from a great album, from an even greater band.

pearl jam is the last flicker of light, (along with jack white) remaining in mainstream music. if no other bands step up and let pj pass the torch, the future of popular music is uncertain. but for now, we still have the jam (and anything jack white does).

i dont know. i do agree with you with both pj and white, but let's not forget many others. matt bellamy (muse) is still one of the great rock composers of our time. plus thom yorke is still godly (radiohead). Radiohead's In Rainbows was one amazing album. Plus the new super group that is Them Crooked Vultures is designing their own tone, which is fitting in well

it is no nice when a band that's been around for long comes out with an album that is not just another album to their career. Backspacer is a GREAT album, with good songs and lyrics and it rocks! This is a very beautiful song, and not another beautiful song.
