I have a eagle and make 434hp 23psi, pte 60-1 turbo stage 5 turbine wheel, would a fp red make a big difference me and my buddy has been on and on about our turbos. LMK!!!!!

hey now a mitsubishi spider has a 2.4 liter engine and if it matches a 5.0L thats dam good i would have to say and i think the guy took it easy because it doesnt take much to chirp the tires in a little car.
that spyder didn't look stock to me-definitely had some mods done and there are grand prix that can smoke a lot of cars check out gxp performance and if u r a ricer (import) don't fuck around with those cars if u aren't ready cuz most will break low thirteens with a computer flash so just cuz they are 4 door don't mean too much if the car is built well

Yeah for sure. Even the supercharged ones are slow.
This Spyder is no where near it's full potential. He only chirped 2nd gear, so that means the motor is sick and the Spyder is stock, or he is just taking it easy on it. If I hammer mine good I will finally get traction halfway through 3rd gear when running 23psi only at 97 octane.
I'm guessing that the Spyder won since mine at 135k miles w/ original (nearly shot) turbo beat a fox body 5.0 by half a car last year (the mustang was stock too).

@DSMeclipsegst You've got serious issues. 2.3 stroker (new OEM 4g64 crank) Wiseco stroker pistons, manley rods, BC 280/280's, ported 2g head, RC 1000cc injectors, PTE 6376, TRE Stage 2 tranny, ACT 2600, AEM 5 bar map sensor, DSM link running Speed Density. Just FYI and please stop embarrassing the DSM community.

@unityelt No its not, the gst still has the 4g63. A non turbo (gs rather than gst) would have the 2.4l 4g64 though.

if ur spyder gets beat by a grand am than u definatly have some problems there.
and those rims arent chrome. there aluminium polished to give the shine like chrome

i raced a stock 5.0 in my stock 97 gs-t before I ever even modded it, and we were dead even till about 40 mph, then the 5.0 took off. sorry to say.
