so if you'd paid attention in the first x-men Sabertooth looked like he remembered wolverine because he was obsessed with the dogtags. in the comic wolverines adamantium skeleton keeps him from regressing into an animal state. This could explain Sabertooths appearance and his more savage nature!

Word is they're planning to make a prequel with Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Iceman, and Angel based on the First Class series so hopefully they'll go along with it.

They already messed up continuity with the Wolverine movie: Logan and Victor Creed (Sabretooth) being brothers when they act like they don't even know each other in the first film, they aren't related in the comics either, Cyclops crosses paths with Wolverine in the movie despite the fact that he doesn't recognise the man during the events of the first movie. Cyclops should know him seeing as Wolverine hasn't aged a bit. The only way for another prequel to work is to further mess up continuity.

Yes it sucks that they are related in the film. Remember Logan was shot in the head at the end of the film. That means no memory of Victor, or of all the kids in the pens. Cyclops had his eyes covered when Logan helped them, so he had no idea what he looked like. As for Victor not knowing Logan in X1, something must have happened to him in that time frame. I would love to see a Sabretooth movie that could explain that, maybe something with Sabre and Mystique. But that won't happen.

Still, the depiction of Logan and Creed as brothers was pointless and unneeded. They're making an Origins movie centred on the X-Men as youngsters and the actor who played Cyclops in the Wolverine film has confirmed that he'll reprise the role. As long as they don't try to squeeze in too many characters, it could be a good movie.

cyclops optic beams dosent mealt things, its more of a force beam. think of it as multiple punches only enhanced more and more, depending on the amount of optic beams he put out, it gets stronger at that.

Tell you what, though. cyclops has perfect percision shot with the optic blast. if he faught wolverine, he basically could dismember him with each coordinated shot.
