IGN is honestly terrible (and inconsistent I might add) at reviewing games I've never took there word in regards to games period they just aren't good at what they do honestly. Other outlets are already giving this game perfect or high scores or remarks as the best superhero game ever and quite honestly that's more then enough for me to buy it (I enjoyed Arkam Asylum and this looks to be no different here).

@MrCamw1 I dunno, I can see how ign may be right about there being too many villains. This game seems like it's gonna have one hell of a fantastic story, and all good stories are driven by good characters, and the more characters you have the more difficult it is to really flesh them all out. On the other hand you're right this is a game... and games need variety to keep things fresh. Regardless the 18th can't come fast enough! Game of the year baby!

You can already tell We have Mr Freeze, Joker, Bane, Two Face, Penguin, Grundy, Riddler, mad Hatter, Talia, Catwoman Ivy and apparantly a hint of Scarecrow. Lord knows any spoilers that haven't been revealed. But yeah, Beating thugs is always cool. But its the boss battles i always look forward to in any game. The ultimate comic-book game. Setting the standards for them. If this isn't game of the year i'm eating my foot.
