Miami looks nice also im not sure of it now but Bradenton beach or however you spell it was real nice to.I saw dolphins and manatees when i was there and so much people lol think there was a few tournaments going on to back in 06 i think.I live probably 45 min from Pensacola Beach in Pensacola,Florida now though which is also a pretty nice beach :)

I worked in SoBe in the 80s and early 90s just as it was becoming the "trendy", non stop disco scene it is now. I'm glad I left. Sure its fun to visit but I cannot possible imagine why anyone would want to call it home. Lots of phonies, posers, and wannabees.

I've lived in both Miami Beach and in the Mountains of Idaho. Both have their charms. I love the beach, but South Beach is just trashy now. Try a beach in Costa Rica or South America or Portugal.

When I first moved to SoBe in 1986 Lincoln Road Mall consisted of old wig shops, typewriter repair shops, Cuban sandwich shops & a few artists's studios. You could walk through the streets at 7am & hardly see anyone, & you could lay on the beach 100 yards from the next person drinking Orangina from the Epicure. I had a 1bd apartment a block from the beach for $200 a month for 10 years. It was paradise. Now it is just like any other trashy over-populated synthetic shopping district in America.
