  • "The Voortrekkers were betrayed by the savages?" Are you serious? As a white South African, I find these videos to be not just in poor taste and historically ignorant, but downright offensive. I love my country, faults and all, but I'm ashamed that this kind of racist filth is produced within its borders.

  • Let He who is without Sin, cast the First Stone. But let's face it, the Afrikaners have gotten the short end of the Stick in a lot of instances. However, they made a big mistake by becoming dependent on black labor. I support them totally. The English p.r. machine has been very effective. As Churchill said: History is written by the Victor. The recently "Enlightened" incestuous Europeans are a bunch of Hypocrites!

  • South Africa was from the beggining was a majority white nation. It was not until the british stole the colony from the Dutch, that mass ammounts of blacks and asians were brought as slaves. Evan considering the original Boer genocide by the British, the population of the Union of South Africa at it's founding was majority white, But like Rhodesia, The whites became lazy and began hireing, housing, and feeding blacks, And thus they're numbers exploded to outnumber the whites in under 50 years!!!

  • white man dutch boer made in the image of God.

  • Jesus was with them.

  • praat jy kak! Im an english south african and Im proud of my British heritage. The Boers were far from innocent.

  • To white people: P-L-E-A-S-E stop the white guilt BS!! Blacks, and this black government will keep manipulating you if you don't! Be proud of who you are! Being that doesn't make you racist. You are strong, intelligent, determined, hard as a rock! Stop trying to bend over backwards to prove you're not racist. Blacks sees it as a sign of weakness, anyway. You wouldn't kiss a guy's feet to get a job, so don't kiss others' @ss for acceptance. LOOk for a change at the hateful glances on the street.

  • ANC is terrorist ..Anti-White always has been alwys will . The South African White needs our help .

  • 8th April my foot where did you go to school it was 6th April 1652!

  • 8th April my foot it was 6th April 1652

  • this video is biased. the statement that voortrekkers migrating to the interior "peacefully" is false. many africans were negatively impacted by the voortrekkers

  • @monroethesexy Just as many were negatively impacted by the Zulu's geopolitical expansion? It is truly rare that any large movement of people in history was more peaceful than not.

  • @monroethesexy you say "africans were negatively impacted by Voortrekkers" only when they attempted to murder them consider the battle of blood river.. rememeber 19th SA was a tough place & African societies cruel and violent towards each other. The Zulus a good example of this.. so lets not get to senimental about Africans who are still that way... Congo, Rwanda etc..

  • TO ALL IMPERIALISTIC GEO-RAPIST WHITE SUPREMACIST SYMPATHIZERS:

If I own a 7 room house and only use one room, that does not give you the right to break into my house stake a claim in the vacant rooms and declare that my house is now your house. YOU ARE TRESPASSING AND DEADLY FORCE WILL BE USED TO REMOVE YOU.

  • What a biased video!

  • @vtoodler Why is it biased, what facts do you have to dispute this?

  • @phillipgfromsa a video doesn't have to be wrong to be biased, the fact that this video is made from one point of view makes it biased. And yes, it is biased.

  • Where does the bushman figure in this "history"? Does his culture deserve to have been washed away simply because it was "savage"?

I do agree that apartheid worked but I disagree that European cultures are the sole bearers of civilisation in our world.

  • Bushmen culture was not "savage" as you put it, not even to the boers, British think everything is savage. In fact when we settled there we traded with them! They are peaceful helpful people. We didn't destroy their culture, the modern world (Yours and mine) did and other real savage black tribes.

Did apartheid work? Of course, look at South Africa now, I do believe blacks should have had more rights though.

  • @foncho - The bushmen were squeezed by Europeans coming from the South, and black African tribes coming from the north. Well, that's at least partly what happened, from what I understand.

  • fantastic!! such a beautiful and emotional video...freedom for scots & afrikaners!!

  • @MartinIDavies

Very true. When an African government takes over mining and brings over all it's inefficiencies and mismanaged with it, nothing good will follow it.

  • @Tjoekelina land and enterprise re-distribution or nationalizatioon (from those who are successfully engaged like the Boers and commercial miners) to those who are inept rarely works out to anyones advantage look at white farms in Zim and mines in Zam... a total disaster... so I agree 100%

  • Africa was a far better place when modern European accountable governance was in effect, now lacking everywhere in post independence Africa! Bantu populations exploded as did increased life expectancy compared to now. European entrepreneurial culture creates value beyond just for themselves. Why would any country want to expel (or murder) its most valuable capable entrepreneurial class? Other than because of a race rage that is no longer applicable. ANC, the murder of Afrikaners must stop.

  • @MartinIDavies A better place for who? Do you truly believe that black Africans under European colonialism had it better off? Better when they were treated as second class citizens on their own land, limited to the mere fringes of society while the tiny white population thrived off cheap black labor and exploitation?

you seriously lack the ability to see things from a black point of view. Bigotry must be strong in you...

  • Comment removed

  • @ZimboJambo not bigotry but realism get a grip man... it isnt race its culture and behavour and until that changes then the misery that is post independence Africa will replay over and over on the 6 o clock news... get your partying "liberatuin struggle heros thugs under control & demand competent governance.. get ride of them and start talking with those who can really run a modern country... quick before misery engulfs you.

  • @ZimboJambo “A better place for who?: what a great question. Look at contemporary Zim & SA the winners are the sycophantic corrupt inept family members of the liberation heroes who are pretending to run these countries. The average African pheasant’s lot has become a nightmare. Their hopes & aspirations snuffed out by ruling elites stocking the fires of race hatred of white Africans the ones capable of creating wealth. Without the ability to create wealth nothing happens. You do know this?

  • @MartinIDavies - you implied that Africa was a better place under European colonialism - One would have to not know the history of these places to say such an erroneous and insensitive statement; Insensitive because under European rule no black africans had a future - Literally no possibility of achieving the standard of living of which the whites held monopoly to. Africa is not as hopeless as you make it out to be- what about prosperous nations like Botswana, Ghana, Morocco and Egypt?

  • @ZimboJambo I did not imply I outright say it... there is an icredible amount of political correct rubbish going around... african populations exploded in places were the British ran things spend a little time looking at the figures...

  • @MartinIDavies an explosion of population indicates urbanization more than anything - opposed to the nomadic lifestyle that many had before (less kids) We know today that when Europeans came they placed tax's on the Africans, which effectively forced them to adopt the money economy system so to pay the taxes. And in order to get jobs most fled to the cities.. settled down.. and had babies! lots of them! since the british had well established colonies and therefore had lots of work.. well..

  • @ZimboJambo 2) Yes SA pop increased rapidly in 20thC.. due to food growing & wealth-employment generating capacity brought about by white & Asian business acumen. SA only became an urbanized country in the mid 80s when laws changed allowing Africans to move to cities which they did in massive numbers (as elsewhere in Africa) indicating a preference for the modern world over agrarian peasantry. Yes where is SA Africa middle classes? London? certainly not making ANC accountable shame on them

  • @ZimboJambo 3) Slowly we will see converging of groups with aligned interests in building a country that will allow SA to become wealthy and peaceful again. The key is skills that enable a modern state to function skills in business, agriculture & governance in all its manifestations. However so long as the political & material expectations of the non productive urban peasantry are pandered to by incompetent & increasingly corrupt ANC elites the chaos will continue Zim the road map.

  • @MartinIDavies I dont think anyone would argue that post- independent african leaders have been fantastic - especially old Bob and recent SA leaders. But not all African leaders have been like them which is what you would like to believe. Moreover I think you don't really appreciate or understand the impossible undertaking of trying to confront all the social-economic, ethnic and religious divides that these countries inherited from europeans. Rwanadan genocide being a great example of that

  • @ZimboJambo nonsense.. no counting Cape Colony Europeans did ove into the interior until id 19th Cent and then in small in numbers only building countries for about 50 to 75 years. They not indulge in annihalion of tribes unlike African tribes were wont to do the Zulu & Matabele examples... people’s lives are better lives when governed well. African countries have had 50 years and done nothing. Governance is hard do made harder if inept delusional leaders are not to up to task

  • @MartinIDavies today the black middle class in south africa is over 10 million and has an economy that is stronger and more sustainable than apartheid's could have ever been. Clearly the benefits of independence is not shared exclusivley by political leaders.. pls look for similar example in Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt, Botswana, Ghana, Uganda, Morroco, Algeria.

Remind me again how every single african colony was better for africans than their current independent republics?

  • @ZimboJambo 1) you make strong & hopeful points. I was not a fan of apartheid (it was wasteful of resources & expensive) in SA or its precursors laws in its African colonies.. I also can not really speak how to other European states ran their colonies (mostly poorly!) . The main sin of Apartheid was that it removed 80% of the population from the mainstream of economics & by extension politics... Africans being agrarian peasants were wholly un prepared to engage in modern state.

  • ANC dream deepens... if you are black you are poor, ignorant, short lived, a wretched person as the nightmare of ANC rule bites. You are subject to the tyranny of your beloved government. Glancing at TV you dream of living the life of a European in the modern world and you wonder what the hell has happened to your world. It dawns on you that as you see fewer and fewer whites the hellishness increases, the darkness envelops you and your future and try as you might you cant seem to wake up!

  • I am an Atheist.... I am a scientist.... but I stand by this.... I stand y my land.. I stand with you as a german minority in SA.... . I'm with you... we need to talk... there are still proud Germans out there who love our land...

  • STAAN SAAM, VREES GOD en ONS SAL OORWIN!!!

  • Shame the shit it turned out to be.
