  • Thank you for being one of the few Americans in the world that do not make fun of Polish people and their country, but rather congratulate it and give it compliments. Thank you for that.

  • I visited Auschwitz when I was in Poland last September very sad.

    Jason

  • i feel bad

  • i love your vids and i feel bad for thousw pols

  • i was yesterday in the concentration camp dachau... it was very sad.

  • Im from czech republic...it is next to germany and poland..and I was be there with my school...I will never forget...

  • ive been there and will never forget this place... still cannot believe that this happened to these innocent people

  • OSWIECIM is a beautiful ancient Polish city.

AUSCHWITZ is a part of Nazi Germany brought on a long tormented Polish soil.

These two names don't belong to the same line.

  • I will be there next Month.

  • @whitesox2005ify

    Lol me to!

  • 1 was there last week.........

  • everyone says we shouldn't forget the horrors of the holocaust that we should never allow such atrocities to ever be committed ever again a feat worth fighting for. But, long since the holocaust ended other holocausts or genocides have taken place such as the mass murders committed by the Khmer Rouge or the genocides of Rwanda. In Europe there were genocides but not as large as the german one was the genocide that took place in Bosnia in the mid 90s.

  • Went there last week, not a nice place and it makes you realise what exactly man is capable of during war.

  • OMG! I was there few years ago for visiting

  • this place wasn't that green before ;(

  • Been there and the feeling of death is overwhelming. You can feel it.

  • Some years ago I was there. It is very hard to describe all my feelings. Perhaps, it is really saint place. We should not have to forget this lesson of history.

  • Thanks, Rick. We must learn from this history to make sure it is never repeated again. You must never be like sheep and follow those who are in power without question. Have your own mind.

  • Rick I have noticed that in all your videos (that I've seen so far) you are carefully avoiding putting the words "Nazi" and "German" into the same sentence. I understand that a tourist guide is not meant to make any political statements, but at least when commenting from places like Auschwitz, it should be remembered that Nazis are not just an evil force of past; especially with current political gains of extremists and neonazis in Germany (or i.e. Hungary).

  • @cimmerianpraetor what you need to realize is that not all Germans were nazis and not all nazis were German.

  • This video gave me chills. Excellent job Rick.

  • Thank you, Rick. I wept. NEVER AGAIN.

  • every denier should visit and see with his/her own eyes.

  • I love you Rick Steves!
