Thank you for uploading this! What a great actress and trailblazer she was. She was responsible for getting one of my favorite shows, Star Trek, on the air. The networks didn't want to touch it, but as president of Desilu she told them to go with it. Without her we wouldn't have had Star Trek or Mission Impossible. Thank you, Ms. Ball, from a big Star Trek fan.
I believe a lot of celebrities may have dabbled in communism way before the cold war began and before most knew just how twisted and evil a philosophy it was. Back during the depression, John Sanford, aka Redd Foxx and best friend Slappy White were "sit in' members of a socialists group in New York(maybe Harlem?), but it was only because at the meetings they were provided with a free meal.
Lucy died young(77) Wonder if she hadn't smoked, would she still be with us? My grandmom lived to be 99.
aww I'm feelin' so emotional right now. I love this video it's really strange to be so emotional over people you don't know and never met, I to am an I Love Lucy fan I have all the episodes on dvd, I to watch when I'm upset or need a laugh great job Lucy would be proud.
She made us laugh, even when everything in our life was sad. Wikipedia records that Lucille testified "that she had registered to vote as a Communist or intended to vote the Communist party ticket" in 1936 at her socialist grandfather's insistence. Ball further said she had never been a member to the communist party to her knowledge.
Happy Birthday to my favorite funny lady:) I Love You Lucy! I'm so grateful to all the channels that are still airing her movies and I Love Lucy, and I'm also grateful to people who post videos and tributes to her on Youtube. This was wonderful:)
Happy 100th birthday Lucy! If there is heaven and I get there, she would be one of the first people I would thank for making my life more bearable on this earth.
August 6, 1911 God gave us Lucy. 100 years later we all can say she brought nothing but joy and laughter into our lives like no other comedienne ever did. Today on her 100th birthday we all should take a moment and smile, remembering the laughter she gave us. That smile would be our personal tribute to her. Happy Birthday Lucy.....we all loved you!!
This made me cry, and I never cry!!! I'm a huge fan of hers and I'm 13, I wasted 10 yrs not watching her, but she makes me feel happy all of the time. I wrote a paper on her for english and I meant every word I said. I love Lucy you can't be american and not love her.
I may have been born during the ending of Lucille Ball's career, but I used to watch every episode of her show when I was a kid... well it can't be helped because we had basic channels then and "I Love Lucy" runs on a 2hr timeslot when there was nothing on... but I enjoyed the time watching her and her shows. It may have been trivial to me back then, but looking back now, Lucille Ball is indeed the 'Queen of Comedy'. She has Buster Keaton living in her. We'll miss you~
I love Lucy but I agree with tv guide's best shows ever. It put Seinfeld as #1 I totally agree "Lucy," is 2nd. Though Jerry Seinfeld got alot of what he did from Lucille.
I'm 14 and i love lucille ball. I am not ashamed of it at all either; i talk about her all the time at school and i love to talk about her. It makes me happy to think about her and how she is in heaven looking over all of her fans <3
i just found out that i was 8 when she die i would give any thing in this world to see them any thing i love here and there well be no one esl and never well be like Lucy
today if she live she would be 99 thanks and i too love Lucille Ball
The Official Second Season of Lucille Ball's second series The Lucy Show, is coming to DVD on July 13, 2010! If you haven't seen the Lucy show it is so funny! And the second season co-stars Vivian Vance(Ethel)! Also it's in Color!
a very beautiful and well deserved tribute to the QUEEN OF COMEDY. I just watched Smokey & The Bandit and Jackie Gleason was the King Of Comedy REST IN PEACE LUCY AND JACKIE
@allenwood100 she apparently dabbled in it in the 1930's before many knew the full evil of communism, So did Oppenheimer, and they did ruin his life, maybe justifiably...
yeah u did an amazing job on this!! thanks so much loved it, lucille ball was a beauty queen from start to finish! She will live on for ever for what she did!

Wow, you did a wonderful job. I love how you started from the begining of her life to the end, it actually made me tear up. She was the greatest lady still to this day. I love lucy everybody loves lucy. Thank you for such a masterpiece.
a question......did she really marry desi arnaz??? and man, she died early i just noticed that. and i hate it when i see people from beautiful to old. it makes me cry!!!
yes desi and lucy were really married....and actually she didnt really die young she was born august 6 1911 and passed march 23 i think of 1989.....she lived a long and full life.....filled with lots of love especially from fans like us.
A great video Lucy was one of the best! Seems like all the great actors are gone. I sure do miss how the movies and television used to be.Those were the days! Great days. We love you Lucy!
it's so sad to see alot are living legends dying in the world today is nothing like the world i once grew up in.alot people almost forgot to be nice kind to one another i guess a different time and place then.
I've always been a Lucy fan. I have a picture of myself and a Lucy look alike taken about 8 years ago at the Lucy museum at Universal Studios in Orlando,Florida.

@CrissyMichelle22 Heck, I'm 17 and I'm a HUGE fan!! The I Love Lucy Show is a show like no other, and there will never be another like it! Not even close to being like it!
Today at 5:05 AM Miss Lucille Désirée Ball died. It marks the 19th year since her pass, and thanks to her adoreing fans we still can see the wonderful memory of her life. I love her and miss just like millions of others do in the world, still. She didn't have a happy ending on earth, but i believe she did in heaven. GOD BLESS YOU LUCILLE AND RIP!
Oh my gosh this made me so sad!!she is just one of those rare amazingly talented people who you wish just didn't ever die.seeing her change into such an old woman in the pictures made me want to cry because she was eventually going to leave.Great actress and a great youtube video to go with it!by the way i have a wall clock with the pose at 5:08 on it!!
Lucy was so beautiful. She had that perfect combination of a crazy little kid and an elegant woman. I've been in love with her ever since I can remember.

This is absolutely awsome. I grew up watching "I Love Lucy". Lucille Ball is truly the Queen of Comedy like you said. Thank you, and hope to see some more of your work.
Lucille ball is my favorite actress ever! I love Lucy and she was so gifted and talented and Lucille ball will always be remembered as the best there ever was! No one can remaster the physical comedy stunts and emotional scenes she performed! Lucille ball was absolutely gorgeous and always so classy! No wonder everybody loves Lucille Ball!
What a wonderful video. I cried all the way through it. Thank you so much for sharing it with the rest of the world. You truly deserve an oscar for all your hard work in making this. We ALL loved Lucy.
Thank you so much for your reply. I have NEVER received ANY replies from the comments I have posted and that was so very kind and thoughtful of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Fantastic tribute. What a spectacularly talented comediene. Thank God for Desi, she was able to meet her full potential. She would tell the writers, this won't work, and Desi would tell her try it.
0:22 with the hat. isnt that the most beautiful picture ever??

This is absolutely awsome. I grew up watching "I Love Lucy". Lucille Ball is truly the Queen of Comedy like you said. Thank you, and hope to see some more of your work.

Lucille ball is my favorite actress ever! I love Lucy and she was so gifted and talented and Lucille ball will always be remembered as the best there ever was! No one can remaster the physical comedy stunts and emotional scenes she performed! Lucille ball was absolutely gorgeous and always so classy! No wonder everybody loves Lucille Ball!

Fantastic tribute. What a spectacularly talented comediene. Thank God for Desi, she was able to meet her full potential. She would tell the writers, this won't work, and Desi would tell her try it.
