  • I have this version on CD and there's nott a night tha goes by I don't listen to it. By far the best version EVER recorded. I truly believe this is God singing through David.

  • Beautiful, simply beautiful this song ! :) great vid.

  • Anyone who wants to attempt this song should listen to this first, then listen again and not try themselves.

  • Never has there been a better version recorded.

  • Forget talent! It's all about the anointing, and the brother sang under the anointing. Only the anointing can bring about the almost instantaneous response as we witness at 3.33. check it out.

  • Very powerful and amazing voice. Love it.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tune; O holy night

Oh American Idol, my song sounds just like one of those douchebags. With overdone smaltzy overbearing overtones... ( fall to your knees part) Fall... on me please, oh oe'r hanging grand piano

. And don't forget the audience shot of the adoring wife and of course the kids.

TONIGHT... TONIGHT... Oh please cast your vote for Meeeeeee! ( I know this isn't A.I)

    TOOOOHOONIGHT that I did Yawn!

  • I absolutely love the way he sings this song. He sings it with such feeling and love!!

  • Awesome version of "O Holy Night" by David Phelps!

  • I absolutely love this version!! To me it was perfect!!

  • This about Jesus not who does what better

  • Not even close. Listen to Pavarotti's version and you'll hear true perfection. Was Phelp's talking or singing the song?

  • I also agree, this is simply the best version of this song I have heard also. Remember, when you are dealing with artists, they like to insert a few colors of distinction into their work. God Bless.

  • Ah, too slow, and added a few rising notes that don't belong. His voice is too breathy, too. He can be coached for that. Knee ah knees no.

  • @ThePropellerdiver i know youtube was practically built so people could leave whatever comments they like, and while i respect your opinion, i for one am humbled by his performance. It gave me goosebumps. To me it sounded perfect, but it may not have been. Regardless though, i doubt anyone could give a more powerful performance.

  • @ThePropellerdiver You're joking, right?

  • @ThePropellerdiver It looks like someone has no musical knowledge whatsoever. If you have no idea what you are talking, which you don't, then don't critique one of the best vocalists of our time. His dynamics were perfect, tempo on beat, and not to mention the fact that his flow and individual voice is second to none. I find almost no flaws in this rendition. Think before you speak. Your mindless reactions show just how smart you are.

  • Would love to hear a duet with Josh Groban.

  • @jeffarnim That would be just insane. I'm not sure one stage could handle that combined level of awesomeness. :)

  • Not to often does a singer give me chills, but this guy's got a gift!

  • Absolutely stunning! Wow!

  • best rendition of this song EVER!!!!!

  • I feel like Mark @3:42 lol

  • @nchokas yeah!! and you can actually hear mark say "whoo" it is so funny, but it is also my own reaction to this song! praise God. oh and Merry Christmas ahaha

  • Absolutely agree. The best vocal version of "Oh Holy Night" hands down. Powerful, simple, and beautiful. Thanks for uploading this great quality version (w/out the host intro lol)

ah, and yes of course.....amazing piano as well!
