  • if u were flying a cessna, and u had the red as the mixture, and then u wanted to fly like a boeing or sumin could u have the red one as spoilers aswell as the mixture, or would you have to change it every time u switch aircraft?? :)

  • @GidazEFC98 I did show it, it's the box right beside the axis select (the part that says x axis or y axis etc.)

  • thanks again, but you could of shown us where the reverse button was, but i can just find out myslef.

  • @GidazEFC98 If you mean how to set up reverse thrust then I have another video explaining how to do that. Just check my channel.

  • what the hell is wrong with your computer

  • @folledyousucker If you read the annotation or knew anything about crt displays you would know. It's an effect created by the camera and the crt display's refresh rate.

  • hey good video, helpful cuz i was wondering how to get the flaps and spoilers in the reverse way e.g. at the top = o flaps, so cheers for that ;)

  • what if you use an X52? Can I set one whole knob to reverse? and not just the little notch on the bottom. It interferes with the X52 throttle thats why.

  • @theboi808 Sorry but I don't know if you can or can't.

  • @Flightkid9 its ok

  • how can a use the Throttle Quadrant with 4 engines?

  • @75oyra If you do it like in the video the throttle lever should control all 4 engines.

  • how can i use it for boeing 747?

  • i have a problem with my quadrant. i asigned 1 of the levers for eng 1 and the second lever for eng 2 and the flaps with the last lever but it seems the flap lever is joined with my engine levers eg. the flaps dont work unless i use the engine levers aswell even when the 2 arnt even assigned with them!!

  • @FsFlightTV arrrggghh what :( hope i dont get any problems like tht.

  • @GidazEFC98 i droped it on the floor so i think thats the problem lol

  • @FsFlightTV oh huh, hope you fix the problem ;)

  • please help i have the yoke and the throttle but the thrust revurser isnt working when i put it all the way down please help

  • @FlyUPS767 Watch this video of mine, it will tell you how to do it.

    watch?v=VOSThP9FZpk

  • thank you , thank you, thank you......

    you solved all my problems

  • @santiagofernandez97 haha, you're welcome.

  • the problem is that the spoiler doesn't work in the boeing 737 , when you move it spoilers up, example, it move but in the moment it returns to spoilers down posision

could you tell me what's happening?!!!!!

  • @santiagofernandez97 if you're on the ground than the spoilers will only go full up or full down on the ground due to the aircraft's built in systems, it should work fine in the air though.

  • i hate the black lines on the computer

  • @ChinaLake100 ya, those are from the old crt monitor's image refresh rate.

  • good job buddy thanks......

  • ,@almostscienceguy no

  • @almostscienceguy it displays the current time in 24 hour format and by pressing the button below the display it can function as a stop watch as well.

  • @Appleshaz no, you can select any flap setting available with the aircraft you're flying in so you can do flaps 5, 10, 15 etc.

  • Just wondering here nice vid btw if Ur fly a jet lik747....... U set the red and blue levers to flaps and stufff and u decide to go prop e.g cessna do u have to reset those to the mixture for it to work or is it set already??? Reply plz

  • @mrpropilot1 thanks, yes you would have to set the levers for mixture and prop again.

  • @mrpropilot1 In FSX you can save the controls, just save two sets under names like "prop" and "jet" then just change control set up depending on what you want to fly. You just have to "load" in the settings menu

  • @CPgamer23 that was because I wsa using an old crt display so on camera it gives that wierd look, the monitor is fine though it only looks like that on the camera.

  • I subbed. Thanks I didn't know how to do it. but thanks

  • @NycDude66 Your welcome, thanks for subscribing!

  • can u set 1 of the levers to the landing gear?

  • @elnicko123 I'm not sure, if you would like I could check in about an hour and tell you if you can.

  • @Flightkid9 if u can, that would be great. thanks :D

  • @elnicko123 Sorry but it seems that you can't, I tried but it won't let me.

  • @Flightkid9 ok, thanks anyway

  • @Flightkid9 if you get xpadder you can

  • @elnicko123

You can set one of the levers to the landing gear, just download a JoyToKey -software and set one of the AXIS -to the Flight Simulator, default Gear Lever Button ("G").

    And all fine.

    =)

  • @bryansouza because prop and mixture have no use on jet airliners and mixture has no use on turboprop planes either.

  • @bryansouza the levers are red and blue because they are intended to be used for prop planes in which the red lever is normally mixture and the blue lever is normally propeller feather.

  • *IMPORTANT* Make sure in the axis menu the flaps and spoilers both the the box "Reverse" checked! That way the levers will work at the top of the quadrant rather than the bottom!!!

  • @zakman246 thanks for clarifying that, I said it in the video but I only mentioned it once so it could of been missed easily thanks

  • Is the spolier speed brakes?

  • i have a problem how can i turn on the throttle?? i don't see the green light and i plugged it in to my yoke in the back where those sockets are

  • @nascarfan154 is your yoke plugged in? you have to have the yoke plugged into your computer's usb port and make sure the throttle quadrant is pluged in correctly to the back of the yoke, than try installing the drivers that came with it. If that doesn't work, try returning it and getting a new one, it's most likely faulty.

  • @Flightkid9 yes its connected to the usb ports the yoke works but the throttle is hooked into the back of my yoke right is there like a power switch or something my mom doesn't like taking things back u can see my vid for details

  • @nascarfan154 if everything is hooked up than it should work, i checked out your video and it seems faulty, sorry but it seems you'll have to bring it back.

  • @Flightkid9 what iff i buy another throttle quadrant? and not buy another yoke?

  • @nascarfan154 how old is your yoke? you should have a warrenty which will allow you to exchange it or else get it repaired for free, but buying a new quadrant would probably work too unless it's the connector on the back of the yoke that's faulty and not the throttle, if you know someone with the throttle quadrant than you could borrow that and that would tell you if its the connector or the quadrant that's broken.

  • @Flightkid9 i just bought it yesterday and i found that one of the prongs in the connecter snapped off during package i think idk but my mom is planning on buying a new quadrant

  • @nascarfan154 ya that would explain why, the prongs are what transfer data and power to it, but if you just bought it yesterday the you should just bring it back to where you bought it, they will either replace it or fix it for free since almost all stores have exchange policies for faulty products.

  • @Flightkid9 well actually mom bought it on a website for a birthday present so idk what website she bought it from so thats why i was thinking about buying a new throttle control

  • @nascarfan154 oh, you can get the throttle alone that attaches through usb.

  • @Flightkid9 oh ok well like i said the yoke and everything works fine but just not the throttle quadrant

  • @playstationrox999 lol thanks happy simming!

  • @EnragedKamikaze ok, for the last time, i never said they were for flaps and spoilers, i just made this video since some people asked how to do this.

  • Kids got it all wrong, the levers are for engine ops , throttle ,props and mixture...Thats why they are colored and shaped different so you instinctly tell which is which, without guessing.

Flaps would be set with one of the swirches on the left or right of the column , so they can be deployed in increments.

  • i didn't say they were meant for flaps and spoilers, i know what there for, I just use it like this since I prefer it over just clicking a button to cycle the gear and to adjust trim.

  • Ya .. well guess what kid , its wrong

  • oh my bad i'm so sorry, am I insulting all those years you must have been flying 747's by this? ya, didn't think so.

  • Hey Little kid , i am a commercial pilot , flight instructor , with a group 1 Instrument rating, but i'm sure you don't know what group 1 means. well i'll let you know , its an instrument rating with a multi-engine rating.

oh ya , and i also have a seaplane rating, So...oh yes your bad KID

  • ok than, if you really are a pilot (which I doubt but w/e) than you would know that pretty much every large commercial jet airliner has a lever that controls the flaps just to the right of the throttles, also, that there is normally either a wheel or a rocker switch on the yoke (alot of the time both) to control the elevator trim and the lever makes a good substitute. and don't treat me like an idiot, i'm rated to fly gliders and I know what and instrument rating is.

  • Dude, wtf is your problem...he can set it up however he wants. The point of the video was to instruct people HOW to set up the controls. you're a prick!

  • Well i don't know about being a prick but you sure are one ,your reply indicates as you being much more of a prick than me.

I merely corrected the kids first comment for those who would like to know how it is really set up in a small single engine plane.

Then he commented back feeling insulted by being corrected, i gather he got that from you, judging by your usless comment.

Then he continued to carry on by insulting me another thing i gather he got from you..

keep it up you look like a fool

  • actually, I think your the one being a prick and looking like a fool

  • keep it up punk

  • how am I the punk when you watch my video, complain that everything I said is wrong, than you insulted me, and to top it off, your not even sure of what your talking about, look at the throttle quadrant on most airliners, you'll see throttles in the middle, spoilers lever on the left and flaps lever on the right, now if i'm not mistaken, that's the same setup as I showed here, now will you please crawl back into your grandmas's basement and leave me alone?

    Thanks you.

  • Listen Kid

    "FUCK OFF"

  • lol that means you finally see that i'm right? thank you.

  • @turbulence63 Shut the Fuck up, oh my god dude. Instead of pissing everybody off just go

  • when did you buy your yoke and quadrant? sounds like the old phantom keypress issue, they got rid of that in late 2008/early 2009 though, if you have a warrenty than bring it back to get it replaced if not, try contacting saitek.

  • hmmm, i've never heard of than problem before, try turning down you sensitivity.

  • is it just on one certain plane or on every plane? i'm pretty stumped

  • do you mean that when you put them up (full) they go up, but than they wont go back down? if so, put the lever to 0 (retracted) and wiggle the throttle forward abit, that always happens, for some reason fsx does that.

  • how do you callibrate the saitek throttle quadrant

  • what do you mean by calibrate? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

  • cool thanks!!! im going to do that when i get my trottel and yoke for x-mas!

  • Thanks, hope it helps, I always fly in this configuration, I forgot to say in the videos but make sure you adjust the sensitivity settings I have mine set on full the setting are on the first page when you enter the settings menu.

  • ok thanks!
