if u were flying a cessna, and u had the red as the mixture, and then u wanted to fly like a boeing or sumin could u have the red one as spoilers aswell as the mixture, or would you have to change it every time u switch aircraft?? :)
@folledyousucker If you read the annotation or knew anything about crt displays you would know. It's an effect created by the camera and the crt display's refresh rate.
what if you use an X52? Can I set one whole knob to reverse? and not just the little notch on the bottom. It interferes with the X52 throttle thats why.
i have a problem with my quadrant. i asigned 1 of the levers for eng 1 and the second lever for eng 2 and the flaps with the last lever but it seems the flap lever is joined with my engine levers eg. the flaps dont work unless i use the engine levers aswell even when the 2 arnt even assigned with them!!
the problem is that the spoiler doesn't work in the boeing 737 , when you move it spoilers up, example, it move but in the moment it returns to spoilers down posision
@santiagofernandez97 if you're on the ground than the spoilers will only go full up or full down on the ground due to the aircraft's built in systems, it should work fine in the air though.
@almostscienceguy it displays the current time in 24 hour format and by pressing the button below the display it can function as a stop watch as well.
Just wondering here nice vid btw if Ur fly a jet lik747....... U set the red and blue levers to flaps and stufff and u decide to go prop e.g cessna do u have to reset those to the mixture for it to work or is it set already??? Reply plz
@mrpropilot1 In FSX you can save the controls, just save two sets under names like "prop" and "jet" then just change control set up depending on what you want to fly. You just have to "load" in the settings menu
@CPgamer23 that was because I wsa using an old crt display so on camera it gives that wierd look, the monitor is fine though it only looks like that on the camera.
You can set one of the levers to the landing gear, just download a JoyToKey -software and set one of the AXIS -to the Flight Simulator, default Gear Lever Button ("G").
@bryansouza the levers are red and blue because they are intended to be used for prop planes in which the red lever is normally mixture and the blue lever is normally propeller feather.
*IMPORTANT* Make sure in the axis menu the flaps and spoilers both the the box "Reverse" checked! That way the levers will work at the top of the quadrant rather than the bottom!!!
@nascarfan154 is your yoke plugged in? you have to have the yoke plugged into your computer's usb port and make sure the throttle quadrant is pluged in correctly to the back of the yoke, than try installing the drivers that came with it. If that doesn't work, try returning it and getting a new one, it's most likely faulty.
@Flightkid9 yes its connected to the usb ports the yoke works but the throttle is hooked into the back of my yoke right is there like a power switch or something my mom doesn't like taking things back u can see my vid for details
@nascarfan154 if everything is hooked up than it should work, i checked out your video and it seems faulty, sorry but it seems you'll have to bring it back.
@nascarfan154 how old is your yoke? you should have a warrenty which will allow you to exchange it or else get it repaired for free, but buying a new quadrant would probably work too unless it's the connector on the back of the yoke that's faulty and not the throttle, if you know someone with the throttle quadrant than you could borrow that and that would tell you if its the connector or the quadrant that's broken.
@Flightkid9 i just bought it yesterday and i found that one of the prongs in the connecter snapped off during package i think idk but my mom is planning on buying a new quadrant
@nascarfan154 ya that would explain why, the prongs are what transfer data and power to it, but if you just bought it yesterday the you should just bring it back to where you bought it, they will either replace it or fix it for free since almost all stores have exchange policies for faulty products.
@Flightkid9 well actually mom bought it on a website for a birthday present so idk what website she bought it from so thats why i was thinking about buying a new throttle control
Kids got it all wrong, the levers are for engine ops , throttle ,props and mixture...Thats why they are colored and shaped different so you instinctly tell which is which, without guessing.
Flaps would be set with one of the swirches on the left or right of the column , so they can be deployed in increments.
i didn't say they were meant for flaps and spoilers, i know what there for, I just use it like this since I prefer it over just clicking a button to cycle the gear and to adjust trim.
Hey Little kid , i am a commercial pilot , flight instructor , with a group 1 Instrument rating, but i'm sure you don't know what group 1 means. well i'll let you know , its an instrument rating with a multi-engine rating.
oh ya , and i also have a seaplane rating, So...oh yes your bad KID
ok than, if you really are a pilot (which I doubt but w/e) than you would know that pretty much every large commercial jet airliner has a lever that controls the flaps just to the right of the throttles, also, that there is normally either a wheel or a rocker switch on the yoke (alot of the time both) to control the elevator trim and the lever makes a good substitute. and don't treat me like an idiot, i'm rated to fly gliders and I know what and instrument rating is.
Dude, wtf is your problem...he can set it up however he wants. The point of the video was to instruct people HOW to set up the controls. you're a prick!
how am I the punk when you watch my video, complain that everything I said is wrong, than you insulted me, and to top it off, your not even sure of what your talking about, look at the throttle quadrant on most airliners, you'll see throttles in the middle, spoilers lever on the left and flaps lever on the right, now if i'm not mistaken, that's the same setup as I showed here, now will you please crawl back into your grandmas's basement and leave me alone?
when did you buy your yoke and quadrant? sounds like the old phantom keypress issue, they got rid of that in late 2008/early 2009 though, if you have a warrenty than bring it back to get it replaced if not, try contacting saitek.
do you mean that when you put them up (full) they go up, but than they wont go back down? if so, put the lever to 0 (retracted) and wiggle the throttle forward abit, that always happens, for some reason fsx does that.
Thanks, hope it helps, I always fly in this configuration, I forgot to say in the videos but make sure you adjust the sensitivity settings I have mine set on full the setting are on the first page when you enter the settings menu.
