i may have gotten a bad one...running on idle it actually has a cliking nois like some of those old cars that need a tune up.....which is ironic because its a v6 and also my led died after only 6 hours of being on...and tried other working molex and nope no fix there either. waiting for a response form them.
@baskal002 You connect the speed controller to one of the things where the slots sit. Like you know the back panel? In there. I'll check the video to see if it's in it. Haha.
@baskal002 It's too dark. I can't see where he put it. But in the reviews, it says it comes with one. I'm not sure if I should use this for my next rig though. There might be better ones coming out...after all I am waiting for the AMD FX based on the Bulldozer core...
@baskal002 Yeah! To be precise the FX-8150p. I am still running a AMD 4600+ 939 CPU. It's running perfect but because it is DDR-400, I only have 2GB of RAM. I'm sick of it! So I'm still waiting for the AMD CPU that will beat the Intel. Haha. Because back in those days, this CPU kicked the P4 in the ass. Haha.
does installing the ram on the second slots horribly slow the computer down? O.o i want to get this CPU cooler but im almost 100% sure that it wont fit unless i put the ram in the second set of memory slots.
noisy, just acquired Deepcool Ice Warrior today... it's freaking silent and does a good job on my unlocked 955BE which i must mention that it was shutting my pc down on high stress with the stock cooler, with this one (looking at the temp sensor) it stays at 48 degrees celcius after almost 2 hours of prime95, pros know what that is ;)
I have a V6 GT,and i fixed the noise problem with just going in the MB bios,then hardware and i put cpu fan speed to silent.What it does is it puts the cooler on auto mode so when the temperature ranks up it gets a bit louder...but that only happens to me when Im doing CPU bencmarks,other than that,I cant even hear it :)
@jo05dk its like a rich man that doesn't know anything about putting the rpm to a lambo at its peak hp and some good torque... but still buys one just to have a sound of it...I''m a teenaged boy but this definately ressembles my like for a mustang, except that ford is crappy theses days,.... so i'll go for an old 240 sx rather than a ford... to be honest...but its 90+ cfm, so its got potential...

When you have the cooler to take power from psu mulex it sounds like tv ! But if you put it to the mobo 4pin it will not be so loud !

@Moro371 It isnt like that, but it does sound quite loud. But if you're gaming or watching a movie at a decent volume, you wont really notice it.

I thopught we had moved on from flashy and noisy coolers a long time ago. Guess not..
This may attract a few teenage boys, but other than that i think it's a massive fail from CM.
