@jakayah98 You probably received a lite version with your PC when you bought that. Which means that some of the features will be locked until you upgrade. Usually that will mean things like how many PiP tracks, some precise editing features, burning options, etc. If you are looking to do more complex multi-track projects, upgrading is essential. I'm sure cyberlink has some deals going for upgrading to the latest version.
hello as I would like to know how to upload videos to youtube that I mark my arias error or a tutorial on how to upload videos of CyberLink PowerDirector you have pretty good day adios
WOW...how did you get the different pics to move around in the back ground? what do i need to download for this effect to work in power director? thanks in advance. btw..awesome video. i hope you have a great day.
Once you drag a video clip or photo onto your PiP track, either double click on the item or click the Modify button, and the PiP Designer will appear. Look for tab that say "Add/edit motion..." You can select from one of the motion templates to get you started.
No. I dont think you really know what power director ccan do. sony vegas doesnt suppo 6 PiP tracks. it also doesnt have magic motion, or any of that stuff. It is actually a pretty bad editing system in my opionon. you can only chroma-key from red, green and blue in sony vegas. in Pw7, you chromakey from any color you would like.
Thanks! I never would have discovered that if I had not found your video. Boy have I been having fun today checking out all the things I can do now. Some things that seem as if they should be obvious really aren't when you don't have a clue what you are doing.
This effect is not too hard to create. Each video is a separate clip that has a customized animation path. The shape around it is created by selecting from the pre-set frames. The pink background is from the color boards, and the grey "splash" is an imported jpg created in photoshop elements. The music is from Magic Music.
Some People says that PowerDirector 7's PIP is annoying! Cuz When you move the timeline slider in the motion tab of the PiP editor, the background video does not move, so you can't modify the PiP motion to match the background video.
I've just made a reply using comments. My tip is to put the color board onto the first video track...all other videos are put on PiP tracks. To create the shape, select a "border" from the pre-sets.
The motion editor tab of the PiP designer is broken in PD7. It no longer progresses the background video over time as you move the timeline slider. Therefore it's no longer possible to make a PiP object follow something moving in the background.
In PD6, when you moved the timeline slider in the motion editor tab, PD6 progressed the background video over time, so in PD6 it was possible to make a PiP object move to match the movement of something in the background.
Yes, my comment there was from about three months ago now. Since then Cyberlink has issued a patch release that resolves that issue, or at least the aspect of it I described.
Exactly what build version are you using? (Help -> About, then a line that begins with Power Director and ends with 7.00."something". The "something" is the build version. Anything less than 2227c, you need to upgrade.)
Can you add multiple audio tracks at the same time because i always want to have 3 or 4 sounds playing at the same time, but the program doesn't allow it. Also, is there the rewind or reverse effect on this version?
Anyway... I found this video looking up reviews for the product. Looks awesome. I'm using Studio 10 to do home Baby movies, and it's pretty limited - and I found PD7 by accident and it looks great. And only $69? I don't get why it's so cheap - the only reason I'm hesitant - something must be up if it's that cheap.
PiP = Picture-in-Picture. This describes overlaying a picture or video over another picture or video. PowerDirector 7 has 6 tracks to create this effect, so you can achieve 6 layers or items on the screen at once, and they can be independently animated.
Each bit of video is dragged to a pip track. You can then open up the PiP editing tools to select a motion path as well as a frame (in this case the star, heart, etc). Good luck.

I used a color board -- which you can find in PowerDirector 7. Drag one of the colors onto the timeline.

Adding videos is pretty much the same as adding photos. You can see an example of finished product in my recent video, Tuber Flashback.

Never mind. I didn't realize that you could drag videos from the imported media onto the pip line. I thought only pips could go there.
Wow. That's great.

Yes, they are imported video and photo files.
