  • woohooooo i was at this game!!!

  • i love you derek

  • happy birthday to me, this was a great present

  • Who is more valuable to the history of the Yankee organization?

    Babe Ruth

    George Steinbrenner

    Derek Jeter

  • tough ?

  • He seems like such a nice man, so down to earth and real, not big headed! and he is so F-ing hot! and im gonna marry him!! hes my man ladies! BACK OFF!!!

  • ...awkward...

  • Wait a second let me get this straight... You're telling ME to get a life even though you CLEARLY stated on the internet "I would love to bang him!"

It's called fantasizing. It's what people do when they know they're never going to achieve their dreams and thus, have no life.

    What a hypocrite...

  • Derek is just a down to earth guy. No conceit. He is very humble. A great quality to have.

  • In the era we have lived through you have to respect the guys who appear to be clean and handle themselves well. Guys like David Wright, Derek Jeter and Dustin Pedroia and I hope Albert Pujols. Awesome talent and no distractions, nothing to worry about. Its getting to a point where this man is bcoming a legend while he plays. And to those who say he isn't a numbers guy. .317 avg 3,000 hits on the horizon .Theres numbers there and oh yeah those things you put on your finger when you win it all.

  • Classy interview, A-Rod coulda spent a little more time with you bro, congrats

  • Yo Jete, I'm real happy for ya -- Imma let you finish -- but Babe Ruth was the greatest baseball player of ALL TIME!

  • Haha, veddy nice.

  • haha i love love love him hes so fucking hot and hes engaged to some fucking skank minka kelly!

  • Jeter is the only Yankee that I like

  • He's been my favorite player since I was 8 and I just continue to realize just how awesome he is! I watched the game he tied Lou in and it was amazing how excited everybody in the staduim was. Even more exciting was the next day when he passed Lou Gehrig. Amazing.

  • One of the classiest players to ever play the game. I'm not a Yankee fan, far from it. However, I am so happy for him as a baseball fan. Congratulations Derek! Now, 3000 hits is next right?! :)

  • Yes, pure class. Serena Williams should go to him right now for a seminar. He is so in control. So smooth. He is my favorite athlete since Muhammad Ali.

  • Wow, don't think u can find a classier guy in any sport right now. God Bless.

  • jeter ur my hero my role model i love u sooo much and ur da man god bless you

  • He is the true American Hero

  • IM IN LOVE WITH DEREK JETER!!

  • Same!

  • classic jeter.

gave us new york something to smile about on 9.11.

    GO JETER

  • this is what I call a true sportsman and he like taking credit by yourself he reminds kinda like scottie pippen...the play as a team and won't have it any other way..even though it's two different sports but I team recognition in them both..Happy for ya my Man...

  • GO JETER

  • couldn't happen to a better guy

  • If I ever have children someday I will take them to Monument Park and point to the #2 on the wall and tell them "Look there's the great Derek Jeter!"

  • Way to go Jeter!! Congrats! You are a class act! :)

  • Jeters well respected now, but I don't think his accomplishments will truly be felt until the years after he retires.. what he's been doing is so rare, that we might not even see it again as yankee fans. He could retire now and still be a first ballot hall of famer. I'd love to see in the years from now, looking back at this video and saying wow. When he does break it, can't wait to see !! Time to prepare for the playoffs

  • Jeter is the best!!

  • in the years to come.. even when Jeters skills start to diminish with age, if the yankees organization does not respect what this man has done, if they don't care about the fans and do someday not resign him, or let him to go another team. i will never forgive the yankees. i have for what they did to joe torre, but if they do that to Jeter.. i'll never forgive them. Jeters a legend, and someday i like to see him as bench coach, and manager

  • Congrats, Cap

  • Derek Jeter is easily one of the greatest athletes to ever compete!

  • Jeter you are a good kid and am glad you are getting the accolades. Wish you the best as you and the team march towards #27. you get my vote for MVP.

  • im glad for derek jeter, i have big respect for the yankees. they are a great team this year i hope derek jeter can have a great rest of the year and carrear follwoing the playoffs.but i wish the redsox can start pitching good :( like you guys.

  • this is the year oh ya baby

  • #2 will NO DOUBT be retired in Monument Park someday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Congratulations Jete!! Your an amazing player and you've done so much for us, hopefully we can win a World Series this year! Good luck!

  • Congrats Derek!!

  • YES ! I knew he'd makee it :)

I love him so muchh. I am very proud and I'm sure Lou Gehrig is proud of him too :D

  • Congratulations, Derek, on a fantastic achievement. You are a wonderful role model for today's kids and I wish you many more broken records! Your parents have every right to be beaming! :)

  • i jus hope that they renew his contracct next yeProxy-Connection: keep-alive

    Cache-Control

  • The way Jeter has been playing lately, he'll be a Yankee until he's 40. Then Yankee bench coach then Yankee manager.

  • Derek Jeter has 'Hall of Famer' written all over him. Lou Gehrig would've been very proud.

  • Man yo this gives me goosebumps..Jeter is the f*********** man! I LOVE THE YANKEES YO..Proud to be a NY Native...

  • Enjoy the day off, but back to work on Friday.. we still got to get that ring!

  • don't worry man we're gonna get that ring!!!

  • Derek U can be Proud of your achivement . Congrat and continue your so nice work .

    Go Yanks Go

  • Congrats Jeter!! GO YANKEES!

  • Jeter is the man. He better get a big spot in monument park.

  • without a doubt he's gettin a spot in monument park with all that he's done for us he's definitely gettin his spot and his #2 retired also he better be a first balloted hall of fame vote

  • Him, Rivera and Posada I think will all go to Monument Park and Cooperstown.

Posada has been a solid catcher for about 10 years now and he can hit, too. So don't argue Posada.

  • Not sure about Posada. I've got nothing against him, and he'll probably get his number retired, but I'm not sure he's going to Cooperstown.

Also, if you retire Posada's number, you have to retire Bernie Williams's as well.

  • I know, I just hope they don't do what they did with Torre and drive Jeter away. Torre deserves to get his number retired too, but it may never happen because of his hatred for the management. I hope Jeter and the Yankees stay on the same page.

  • the yankees know better Jeter is the Face of our Franchise they will be kissing his ass and we all know he will return after next season he wants to stay a yankee

  • jeter is awesome lol

  • Jeter on time, just like me at Dal-Tile !!!!!

  • Congrats Jeter! You earned it! Great Job! Go Yankees!

  • Derek Jeter Is the definition of Class pure athlete all around Nice Guy he deserves everything hes getting Thank you Jeter For everything cant wait to the day #2 is put in monument park and when the give him his plaque in cooperstown

  • Congrats Jeter GO YANKEES!
