Hmmm, if it is, I dunno.

I'm not sooooo familiar with food history.

But I just think, the "pet" of someone is for someone else a good meal.

Take for example the love for beef-steak in some countries. In India, the people would be shocked, since they are sacred there.

And here in germany, for example it wasn't soooo uncommon to eat doves.

Sure, nowadays we wouldn't fetch the birds from the streets. But there is a small ammount of doves that is purely for the "Gourmet".

i know chinese eat dogs, so i went to china once, im a taiwanese and yes we do have dog meat as well but the majority of the population especially the city areas, dog meat is practically non-existant, but we do have people who eat it .. but i've never heard of eating cats. big cats like tiger then yes but normal little cats? not sure. enlighten me people
