Know zilch about Mr Slash, but he was very affectionate 'bout The Shinkicker, so he's ok in my book. First gig I ever attended, Rory at Greens Playhouse in Glasgow 1973. Thanks for all the memories fella...
I can remember Rory at Newcastle City Hall in 1974 climbing over miles of cabling, squeezing though PA stacks shaking a 16 year old lad’s hand (mine) and thanking him for coming. Thanks for the memories Rory you are a ledged.
Great to hear all the nice things Slash says about Rory - and then to hear/see Rory rip it up!!!!! Good job by the whole band. 1976 - year I graduated from high school. 1977 - year I got my first Rory Gallagher album!

only thing bad about this is GASH wasting time before the greatness of Rory.

Another version of the OGWT clip is on YouTube under file name "Rory Gallagher - I Take What I Want (London 1976)".
OGWT clip starts at 2:15 min. and the song starts at 3:13.
Powerful cover of the Sam & Dave classic!!
We're Sam&Dave the original performers?
Another cool cover of this songs was recorded by the Canadian Band "The Primordials" on Screaming Apple Records, Cologne
Rory was great.
