Leroy is a very cool, not to leave out smart, and looks like he just a fun dog with a lot of live to give. You can see it in his eyes. Mine is 9 1/2 and I (we) should cherish everyday with these wonderful fun family members.

Leroy is sooo adorable. He reminds me of my Golden, Baghera, when he was younger. He just turned 17 on Christmas Eve. Loved walks and searching for toys also. I hope Leroy is blessed with a long and happy life as well.

Your beautiful Golden is very well trained. When a dog doesn't eat his food until he's given the green light, it's the ultimate test ! Even better, in your case you put it in his mouth but he won't chew, brilliant ! That breed of dogs is SO eager to please, I love them with all my heart, we've had two in the past 12 years. But in recent years they've been plagued with health problems especially cancer and their lifespan has gone down from 12 to 8 years, sometimes less. They're the best :'(
They are indeed a fantastic breed and very eager to please. It is also very sad that they do not have the longest life expectancy. Unfortunately, my last golden died at age 7. Leroy is over six now, and we recently bought a golden puppy to make sure that they would have at least a few years together. I think having Leroy as a role model has made Judge (the new puppy) the best-behaved puppy we have had, and they are so fun to watch together. They are outstanding, loving dogs!

Yikes, sorry to hear of your loss. My Golden is 16 and still kicking, although she has to stop halfway when walking up the stairs to take a break due to arthritis. This is strange because she's been a chubbby-chubster for most of her life and was never very energetic (unless at the beach). I guess it all comes down to chance, just one cell makes a transcription mistake and cancer sets in.
Your video made me cry when I was 10 Y had a bolden her name was Honey I loved her, we were brouht up thogether, she understood everything you told her, so as Leroy but unfortunately she died. I've noticed Leroy looks at you right when you call his name and is very attentive to your every command. That's very different from my maltipoo. My theory is that it depends on the dog's intrinsic nature, so basically, picking the right dog first. My question is, what traits/ characteristics were you looking for when you picked out Leroy? And please tell me anymore tips on how to pick a good dog and how to train them?

@TheSkten007 Goldens just want to please their owner"? Well, it is no lie. That is in fact all they try to do. To make their owner happy. So you as an owner must have patience and a big heart. They are fast leaners but some are very sensitive and since they will love you with all they've got, they get very sad when you get mad or yell at them for something. The good thing is they'll be so sad about it that they'll never wanna disappoint you again so they wont do it again. Get a Golden best dogs!

If they bite/squeeze it and tongue gets sucked into hole, circulation is cut off!
We've seen dogs lose their tongue - which usually means DEATH since they can no longer drink!
