  • breathe.....

  • Those Russians seem to make good tubes..

  • Leben makes great gear. Nice video.

  • As much as I like rock music , especially alot of 70's rock ,I don't think one can experience how wonderful these tube amps really sound until orchestral or symphonic music is played through them ,ex .movie scores like"Star Wars" ,or even Ravel's "Bolero " etc...etc...If you have BIG speakers and a huge amount of bass the sound is unbelievable ! I recently watched "Dames" from 1934 and "As you like it" with the music going through my vacuum tube system , and the sound is jaw dropping !!

  • niiiiiiiiiiiice

  • awesome amp!....I would be listening to the same thing, too!

  • Thu subject is the Amp...not the music.

  • Leben? Cool name

  • keep it analog, man.. turntable!

  • @chevyvan10 or cassette tapes!

  • diysmps.com / forums

  • "My... I... Me..." this video is the epitome of youtube show and tell

  • @brewtroll You're damn right, "This is made in Japan, these are made in Russia, those are made in Holland..." typical mass-produced crap. lol

  • junk

  • Electroharmonix is a rebrand name, the power output tubes were likely made by either Sovtek or Svetlana if they were made in Russia, probably their version of an EL34 or a 6V6. Electroharmonix also rebadges Chinese, Czech, and Serbian made tubes, so really all that it amounts to is Electroharmonix runs them through a tube tester, relabels them, and puts them in a new box.

  • one of the best bands one of the best sound systems.... tube rules!!!!!

i love pink floyd keep in great music

  • oh man what a waste!

  • Last year I listened the popular Leben cs300x and cs600 (tube integrated). Excellent build quality, great retro looks but too polite and hi-fi sounding - nothing personal :-). Naim Nait1 or Nait2 SS integrated 80's technology for between $500-1000 will run circles around the Leben because it can follow the musical score. If you don't want a Naim, there are many alternatives for $1500 that'll gobsmack your ears - trust & believe.

  • @451mnu Heard plenty of Naim gear over the years. To me one of the most forced Hi-Fi sounding brands there are. We all have our own tastes I suppose.

  • those 4 big tubes are 6P3C

  • My Japanese amp. Made in Japan. Hand made in Japan. It was $1500 US. Sounds Brilliant. The realism is Fantastic. Glossy smooth. Highly recommended :P Okay guy, enough. Just enjoy the amp. What was the tube amp you had before this one?

  • sounds good nice n clean. Im using a Yamaha DSP 800 as my d/a converter for pc and cd deck into a Yamaha C85 pre amp to a pair of monoblocked NAD 2200 class a/b amplifiers. The sound is immense. Almost as pure as valves but with alot more control and punch. One day i would love a good valve amp but i would kill it with how loud i listen or my ears will give first

  • Do you like Huey lewis and the news? Also why are there parts of the style section laying all over the house? You have a pet dog, like a chow or something?

  • @Stefandurr "Real" hiphop is just slower and there all love songs...

Marven gay, boys to men, ect.

  • dark side is so cliche

  • good amp stupid man so sorry

  • yes, so much to be said for thermionic equipment. thanks for sharing.

  • How Hot Do the tubes get when they run?

  • Listening to that through Youtube, sounded better than anything I have.

  • @superdude13666 How do you suppose that sounds better than anything you have when your listening to it through any forum of your setup?

Its just the same as a network it doesn't matter if your router will do 1gb/s if your nic is only 100mb/s

The weakest link the chain is the slowest device.

  • @meatloaf666999 you're a fucking idiot.

  • @superdude13666 Your the one making claims of his sounding better than anything you have when you couldn't possibly tell because your listening to it through your speakers....

  • The Japanese always design great equipment

  • @OrganNLou If that was the case then the term "Cheep jap knock off" wouldn't be around.

  • UVERSE FTW

  • Amp looks great maybe you need better speakers...

  • Very nice! Thanks for posting! :-)

  • pink floyd this is great.. that amp looks awesome.... wow 1500 us.... i wonder if you can touch the tubes while its on i have never had an amp like that... kool :)

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 you can touch them but they get pretty damn hot

  • I've seen these Tube Stereo systems before. They look ok.

  • Cambridge audio, sitting under a leben, make it stop!

  • Nothing like hearing this compressed through a video camera, through youtube then through laptop speakers.

  • lol when I'm tall I'll get me such a one...

  • Finally someone with good taste in music and gear.

  • I <3 The dark side of the moon :3

    AWESOME 5/5 :3

  • nice amp.

  • Nice amp. I don't mind trying the Leben CS300 amps.

  • Awesome! Someone who is not playing rap!

    100/5

  • @tunglour

rap is how you test modern amps since the songs have high bass and electronic sounds these tube amps cant hadle beat transisters are the future.

  • @shockflyyer3d I use my preselected list of rock and metal songs with decent reoccurring bass lines and Quad Maximus by Bass Mekanik.

Never once have a felt the need to play any forum of rap to "test" any speakers.

BTW your missing punctuations don't help your case either...

  • @meatloaf666999 *doesn't

  • @shockflyyer3d You have no idea what your talking about..

  • @tunglour Oh and even better, he's playing floyd.

  • You could benefit A LOT form upgrading your DAC try a Benchmark Media DAC-1 or even better a wavelength Audio tubed DAC will not believe your ears your amp is better than your Usher speakers, need something more resolved maybe B&W 702's or something like that or even teh Ushers the MIni Dancer if you like mini monitors or the 6318 is just a wonderful choice for your amp. silver cables and you will be in heaven you will probably vere again get the upgrade bug . . . beatiful amp enjoy!

  • EXCELLENT MAN!!! Thank you for sharing. I LOVE these kinds of vids where audiophiles share their systems, with details.

    Tubes rule!!!

  • im building a 1000 watt tube amp for somehomeade diy speakers with my diy tube mixing console and ampex 354 reel to reel! best sound ever!

  • are you aware of the number of valves you would need for that? i think you now just as well that this is highly unlikely :)

  • I have a friend who has a whole garage full of tubes.

  • where does he live?and when he is not at home??? please!

  • lol

  • lol

  • Great amp ! Just a little surprised at your choice of speakers. Don't get me wrong the Ushers are very good at their price point.

There are just so many more great tube friendly speakers out there. I hope you are getting all the sonic quality your amp is capable of producing. Enjoy

  • Quadro 6l6 e duas 12ax7 boa mesmo é a miniwatt antiga, estas russas são um lixo

  • ah old Vacuum Tube amps they give the best sound sound you can taste. tube amps FTW!!! <-- for the win

  • valves are king...

  • Now I see I'm not the only one to listen Pink Floyd in a tube amplifier! Though my speakers are a little old.

    Great sound!

  • I love that amp! It's just beautiful! The pics in 6moons show it off very well. Congratultions.

  • Get some old US RCA 6v6's tubes. These can be found online quite easily or if you live in/near a bigger city there might be some old radio/tv shop that has some. It will be better sounding.

  • electro harmonix is the 2'nd best rusian tube! but u should consider running jj tubes.personaly i prefer the eh el84 in my guitar amp, but.... cheers for playing the floyd tho!! good luck my tube loving friend!!

  • Indeed
