the portuguese spoken in this was just for effect. my friend knew a little from his holidays and just said that. the script/ subtitles hadnt been finalised at that point so i just told him to say that!
i was on a tight deadline and had no time to get the real words and pronunciations!
Well... if your friend was here in vacations, I can say that he was in Algarve (the tupical place for vacations), but in algarve there is more turists than portuguese people, so, I can say that he didn't leran much portuguese. Try another place. In August there is many Portuguese popular parties. Perhaps youre friend could learn more Portuguese, and better. Usually, portuguese people are very frendly. =)
I used to work at a soup kitchen, and this homeless guy came in one night and complained that we didn't have any 'vegetarian alternatives' on offer. I didn't stop laughing for 10 minutes. Just wanted to share that.
