  • Jazz players are always brilliant musicians, My brother plays piano sax and clarinet, and he wants to learn jazz. John Dankworth is a brilliant jazz player, which is saying something, given that Acka Bilk is the only other clarinet player I've heard of, and he's pretty awful

    Hongo, listen to some of the ancient (ca 40s) clarinetists like Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw in the primitive days of lyrical jazz. You'll love them, I'll bet.
