Actually FF III and FF VI are exactly the same, so far as I remember

@Yuraping no. Final fantasy III is about 4 orphans who where chosen to save the world and was not released in the US (except on the DS but that was years later). Final Fantasy VI is about a resistance group trying to stop an evil empire from taking over the world and was renamed Final Fantasy III because the US only received Final Fantasys I and IV, so at that point there were only 3 Final Fantasys in the US and were renamed to prevent confusion.

So actually when you choose blitz in your command menu, you enter 'left' 'right' 'left' and then press the ok button to perform the pummel attack

Well, while you CAN save Cid, it's not worth it. First, it robs you of such touching moments of Celes trying to kill herself and the desperation she feels within as well as the rest of the world, her hope invigorated by anyone's bandana. Also explains why Celes suddenly feels the need to follow a random bird once they get the Falcon.

You save Cid, and he thanks you and sends you of your merry way. No ending sequence, nada. Just...a thank you.

Final Fantasy 4 in Japan was released as Final Fantasy 2 in America. Final Fantasy 6 in Japan was orginally released as Final Fantasy 3. Both have been repackaged for the GBA as Final Fantasy 4 and 6. Anyway yeah this guy is really good.
