  • This is great. I can't wait to see what happens. Linda

  • is it real or fake?

  • What do you mean? Are you asking if it was done with photoshop or something? (You can't seriously be asking if it's a real spider).

The answer is it's real, it was a giant robot made by a French machinist known as 'La Machine'

  • I know it is real, i am going to see it later today :-)

  • I know you know, I was replying to 74933's comment.

  • Oh! sorry!

  • EEEWW Twish have you seen my spider bite vid! I hate spiders......it almost killed me.....but for some reason im strangly drawn to them.....ooooOOoooo

  • Really? It was on your news?

    wow!

Yes well i hope i get some good footage of her walking around!

    :-)

  • I have arachnophobia and this metal spidey actually looks real to me. I know, I need help;)

    Hugs,

    Marylou

    xxoo

  • I don't like spiders especially big hairy ones. LOL

  • I weighed it in a jar and it was 17tonne!

  • Flipping big jar you have then! :-)

  • Yes, it comes in handy on occasion!

  • Scary!!! as long as 10 puppeteers don't walk it up & down the road we'll be safe ;p

  • Oh it's walking all around Liverpool City Centre all weekend, best hide if you are an aracnophobe :-)

  • WE'RE DOOOMED!!!

  • That really is an ugly spider. Bleh!

  • Ugly yes, but i have grown quite fond of her :-)

  • I'm so scared for spiders.

  • I wish I could be there... but Liverpool is on the other side of the country to me D=

  • Well i will be doing an update on the event after the weekend :-)

  • OMG that's scary looking even though you said it was not alive. I hate spiders

  • Oh I hope you will take video next time instead of just pictures. I want to see that thing moving! Wow! That is pretty coolsome.

  • Oh i will!

The spider wasn't moving until today

  • Yukkkkkkkkk I hate spiders

  • But you have to admit, she is magnificent!

AND you HAVE to go and see her on sunday!

    :-)

Was nice meeting you and Deb in Iceland today :-)

  • Hahahaha!

  • hola, that's a big spider.. the spiders are coming, the spiders are coming..

  • I hope its secure from where its hanging. that'd be horrible if it dropped.

  • They have now moved the spider to another location and will be waking it up in the next half hour!

  • Gracias!

  • THAT would freak me out. I HATE spiders!!!

  • EEEEK!!! I have trouble with spiders a half inch long, and this one is 13 feet? I don't think so.......

Do consider having your moat dredged, Twish, both deeper AND wider. This thing might be able to jump. And I'd surely be distressed on Monday to view the news and see your tiara hanging from its upper lip.

(If it has an upper lip.....)

  • No this one is 13 metres! 50 feet!!!

the moat has been dredged plus we filled it with anti-spider potion so i am safe!

    :-)

  • Jesus Harvey Phroggs!!! I was having enough trouble with feet and you throw metres at me?? My house is barely that big!

I shall be praying that the moat is now the size of the English Channel, and that the potion works. Do exercise extreme caution.

    :-)

  • Do Americans know what metres are?

    Is this a european measurement?

A metre is approx 3 feet!

  • I know what metres are! :D I even spell it like this "Metres" not the american spelling "meters" but then again I'm obsessed with the UK XD I'm sure other Americans know as well.

Oh my!!! My arachniphobia is kicking in, Trish why must you torment me so?!! ;P That is one huge spider! Can't wait for the update!

  • Within the next half hour they will be waking her up, i wonder what will happen!

  • Yeah, Twish, at least some of us do. I think to the general populous it's probably "European," and YOUR fault, but to those of us in the scientific community it's kinda like "the other white meat." It's "that other system." I've worked with the metric system for most of my life, and I understand it, though I still think in inches and feet. I think I'm in a minority.

A metre is 39.37 inches. 3 feet is a decent approximation.

  • LOL!

    So it's my fault!

    hahahaha

    :-)

  • Of course it is! :-P

  • Silly me, of course i should have known!

You had better watch out, i am best friends with Dierdre and Margeaux and you know how they gossip about certain people here on YT!

  • Oooooops! And of course you wouldn't hesitate for a minute to get them both stirred up, would ya?

  • Not for an incy wincy moment!

  • It's blackmail, I tell ya! Blackmail! A conspiracy, even!

    Sheesh!!

  • Bitchin!! Cant wait to see more!

  • LOL!

  • That would be cool and freaky to see.

  • Oh My Stars ***** That would have creeped me out!! Dear me.

  • Yikes!! Can't wait to see what happens..

  • I can't wait till tomorrow morning! It's 4:00 GMT, so I expect to see something by, say 13:00 tomorrow. That spider is creepy.

  • thanks for sharing that. It is really cool! I wonder how they did that! lots of work.

  • For some reason, I've gone all itchy.... my skin feels crawly... /sneaks off for another shower while waiting patiently for chapter two.

  • Amazing spider !!!

    I really don't like spiders

  • I don't like them much, but this one i am kind of fond of now, she's a PRINCESS Dolores!

    :-)

  • Yikes, it looks so cool!

  • Now that'd be something to see stepping of the train to work. Make your whole day.

  • Thats freaky!! Can't wait to hear the rest!!-Jamie

  • That's one big spider!

  • What does it all mean? Creepy!

  • I believe the Green Mask should be notified immediately!

  • lol

  • I saw a picture of this! Very cool!

  • EEEEEEKKKKK!!!! lol. cool idea!

  • I don't think my hand held vacuum cleaner is large enough to have any effect on that spider. In my house I vacuum them if they are not low down enough to step on.

  • Now now, put jar over it, push jar onto paper and transfer to garden :)

  • And a flipping big garden too!

  • can i ask you something why did you first say it was mecanical and then you said it will lay eggs

  • Because even though it is mechanical and is made from steel and wood, it is magical :-)

  • My dear prisoner 74933 - can't you wait until the web is built?

  • Aaaah!

    The suspense!

  • That's so KOOL! The kind of creepy surreal stuff that tickles my inner kid ;P

  • I've seen bigger ones in my bath tub lol

  • ick

    :P

    xoexo

  • Excellent! Off to the link...

  • on my.

  • Scary music. The hairs on my arms are sticking up. I would hate to see the web that she will weave when they wake her.

  • For amoment there, I thought that Riddlespider woman had made her way to Liverpool!

  • NO!

    Could it be?

    Is it really her?

    Mo? is that you?

NO, it can't be Pam, because the spider is a PRINCESS!

    :-)

  • Eeeeeeeeeeek!!!!

  • Wooo! What an imaginative artwork! Must've been something to come upon unexpectedly. :-O

I can picture the spider coming awake hungry and spinning a giant web across a motorway to trap unsuspecting vehicles for its meal.

  • that's not big? I've seen ones twice the size in my cupbords in the royal kitchens1 lol =)

  • thats a huge prob to have.

  • wow you got your own area 51 type mystery right there in liverpool.

you know what im wondering......how did liverpool get its name? sure i guess i could look it up but do you know?
