I think it's sad how tha parents say "if it gets too bad you can move back in with us" and we all know that they don't mean that, they want her to learn her lesson, pay back the money etc. I'd like to think that when parents say that that they mean it - even if only to provide them some assistance and time to get a place instead of forcing them to live on the streets.

I moved out when I was 17 or 18, and I'm in my 20's now it isn't easy. but neccesary.

That was really good! It has a great concept & coincidentally, last year, I thought of writing a screenplay with the same basic concept (20-something girl gets kicked out of her home & has to find who she is). Mine's different in that she moves in with & has guidance from a relative & other stuff (I'm trying to do feature length or at least a half hour) but it's neat how different people can have the same basic story/movie idea ;) I haven't written it yet but plan to work on it soon.

Growing up is scary, even if you don't move away from your family. My sister had the same fate, we lived in my grandma's house, when she got in a fight with her. My grandma really hurt my sister, and she fought back throwing a punch in her face. Now she lives in her very own apartment, and she's about 27, this happenned about 5 years ago, and I'm very proud of her. I'm 20 now, and I have to think of what I'll do, I can't live with my dad forever. Plus he's an asshole.

i'm 18, and i keep livin with my parents, studying and working. they like me to live in their home, and they buy my food and pay the home bills, but i pay everything else with my own money, and i'm trying to get a better job to buy my own appartment.

Well I left home at 18 but not forced. My parents supported me throughout my studies and my first days of work so I can get a hang of living on my own. It's like starting school all over again. Parents play a good role in it too. I have examples of people living with their parents and they are 40 Years old. The only outcome is sickness. Let your kids flow to the society normally and without force. That's my opinion. It's like small birds leaving the nest. It's only natural.
