I spent my teen years in Macon, Ga during the Allman Brothers & Capricorn Records heyday. It was quite a time. However, we were able to have so much freedom (with little repercussion) because of the society we lived in. It was created by our parents & grandparents. Today we live in a society of our creation, and it's not pretty. I, for one, lost a lot of friends & family to the lifestyle of those days. Permissiveness has its price.
@nashkita77 Ditto - I was born in '70 and being a kid back then was great... I feel bad for my sons who are coming of age these days; it's a whole different world for sure
This song rocks!! I only heard about it a little while ago, didn't realize it was in Almost Famous though lol. The guys voice is amazing.....he belts out so much passion. Great stuff. Wish music was more like this these days.
fuck the world now, i know it was screwed up back then but the movie shows that we all have a chance... the fuckin music nowadays tells us to be promiscuous and degenerate.
there is no rock music anymore... i listen to other kinds(no rap or hip hop) , but i can tell, music like this with real feeling that makes you stop breathing for a couple minutes when you remember those time...
i fucking hate technology, the 2000s, all of it, what the fuck happened to all this wonderful music, now theres this damn rap bullshit wtf im so pissed.

Yeh, the negro music gets annoying after a while. This type of music though is played on several radio stations a lot that specialize in the classic hits. The 2000s isn't bad, it's just everybody is imitating these saging pant nigers with huge Motorola computer phones and jewelry that they bought from a credit card. What happened to the skinny jean rocker people?

you gotta love how fucking ignorent americans are lol.
All music is dead because your country is obsessed with dollars, and looking good raping about how shit the ghetto is and social issues has gone to Dollars, hos and cars.
While rock has gone from this song, to lil suburbanite spoiled bastard kids bitching and being emo about how shitty there life is cuz their gf dumped them
METAL AND HARDCORE RAP ARE THE ONLY REAL FORMS OF MUSIC LEFT IN THIS CURRENT AGE
@jimboguitarman this comment shows me your lack of nowing about real rap musik that dosent have anything to do with 2000s technology but respectfully sampel and recreat lovely pieces of musik with tunes like this one . one love
@jimboguitarman i agree, nobody understands how much it annoys me out here on oregon... i believe the best years must of been 1966-1978 or 79. im 15 also
@jimboguitarman - thought rap started in the 80s not 2000s but your right we need more tunes like this , stuff with a message an not just bullshit lol
Im so damn disappointed in our generation(,Boomers) In my worse nightmare I could never dreamed that Things would be so fucked up as now,my GOD we sold out. Get what you want and to Hell with everything right. goldmember1954
PS. I'm sure you have if you're a big enough fan to make a tribute to the movie, but have you seen the "Untitled" (before the director made cuts) version of this movie? I was so happy when I asked for this movie for Christmas and I got it, and I looked and it wasn't the same cover so I was kinda like, "huh?", then I opened it and it had "Almost Famous" as well as "Untitled" and it actually came with a Stillwater CD.
I am a crazy music buff, and that movie is my second favourite movie in the entire world. I was planning on doing an homage to it, still am going to at some point, but your video was so great I've got a lot to...I don't want to use the word "compete", because that's obviously not why I would make it, but I guess big shoes to fill maybe? Anyway, awesome tribute to the movie and LOVE the song choice.
"Natural Born Killers"...but I think the two are pretty closely tied. I'd have to say NBK beats AF by just a tiny bit, wouldn't even know how to measure it.
a very dear friend of mine had a close friend of hers die over the summer and this is the song that was played at his funeral, that is why every time I hear this song I cry cry cry cry away....I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it, oh my, I'm crying right now
