He wasn't close to 100% but was still putting up huge numbers in the playoffs. And, well Gasol didnt fare very well in game 3,4,5, where Garnett was better in him in all three games. Kobe didnt have a great shooting series, but neither was Paul Pierce or Ray allen ( Game 3). So thats maybe the reason gasol wasnt selected.
