I knew a cat that purred loud, but it was because of diabetes, I hope smokey has been checked for diabetes or respiratory problems. I would rather have a healthy cat then the loudest.
That's Yellow Journalism for you. They just rewrote the sound pressure levels or what ? An airplane makes about 130 dB. Also if that cat is purring at 99 dB, then my fart must be 200 dB.
ok now i lived next to an airport and ive been near the runway when planes land pretty much under them as they come in and theres no friggin way this thing is remotely close to that kinda volume

no way....i would love for someone to check my cat cause he is verrrrry loud.....he was in my basement and everything was quiet upstairs I can still hear him...i really think my cat can outbeat this one
