Oh my god. Lol when I got my first laptop, I had a huge box... inside that box was another box, and inside that box was another box containing my HP Compaq laptop, and next to the box containing the product was another box that contained my battery, and next to that box was a box that contained a pamphlet which contained manuals etc, and inside each box was these stupid Styrofoam shit. Hahaha. Apple has done a great job with packaging =]

@djcountry1985 i recently got my first mac (2 months ago when the new ones came out) and its definitely the best decision i made this year. i was a windows guy, i didnt know how long it would take me to get used to mac. after 2 or 3 days of using it, it became my go to computer out of 5 other windows machines. i really cant see anyone being disappointed with a mac (software, hardware, look, feel, or performance) its all a 10 in my book!

It all depends on whether you want to use it as a "lap-top" or not my friend at school have a 15 and the other a 17. they have the same spec but the screen on the 17 is just amazing, i have to say apple may the best screens ever even though they can be quite fragile. if its something you want to keep at home/work and not too much for travel then yh definatley spend the extra couple of hundred €$£

No, i have a friend with the 15 and another friend with the 17. Infact the guy who has the 15 swapped his toshiba qosmio for a macbook pro 13 inch about half an hour ago. (guess what, im posting this from it.) very sleek design, does not attract fingerprints.

Macbook pro is definatley the way to go, the battery life is just unbelievable. I have a dell xps m1330 with a 9 cell battery which lasts 5:40 hours. the down side to this is that half the battery sticks out the back so it doesnt fit in those sleeves. (no need to carry around charger)

If your opting for a work/media computer with optimum battery life and not too heavy the macbook pro 13 inch is the way to go. however if you wish to opt for a larger computer 15 is the way.

As much biased towards macs as this may seem. they are just the perfect piece of hardware, due to their unique slim design, good quality battery, screen, speed, and ever other aspect worth looking at.

Mac OS is pretty compatible nowadays, specially with the launch of the iphone and all the other mac apple products people have gained over their confidence and more people are opting for a mac as their primary computer. You have a massive range of software such as microsoft office and photoshop which have mac compatability.

yh they are compatible, iwas gonna write that but thought it was irrelevant.

Regarding HP laptops, they have amazing prices and they have some quite attractive designs now. but to be honest they are like acer in terms of running the software (shit i sound nerdy). some times you have to quit the program because it doesnt repsond, soem things dont install...

you can run windows on your mac using virtual or dual boot as they have intel proccessors

my thoughts with hp laptops is quantity over quality

u get like 8gbs of ram, i7 intel processors, 1tb of harddrives for the cost of a macbook pro 13 inche, or 15inch.

in 2006 i bought a hp desktop. had to get the LCD monitor replaced and my hp printer fixed, and replace a fan in the tower. pretty much it.
