Ok you should not be ranging him and dont protect from mage you should be using Soul Split to start off. Protect from mele once he reheals at the end of the fight and hits you at throwing knife speed with mele. If your going to range you should use ruby and diamond bolts but mele is a better choice. Turmoil? should be on the whole time.

protect mage doesnt bring anything... you have to kill him with melee i tried it 3 times with range (lvl 87) and died 3 times and once i tried with melee, killed him first time.
