how did you managed to play a sample on the drum part, and then when you press the next drum part button, the sound that played before has been cut off? I mean that I also tried to do such things(more like beat juggling etc.), but when I play a drum part, and then play another before the first down ends, they sound together and that sounds dumb. How'd you handle that?
you can load everything into the drum parts.the advantage of loading something into the key parts is that you can programm melodys,change filter settings etc ,like you know it from the emx.
the only way to load samples in to it is via smart media cards.
but there are converter cards that let you put xd cards oder even sd cards in to it.
i dont think that it will handle cards with higher memory than 128 mb cause thats whats recommended.

I have both the ESX and the EMX alongside other machines...I kinda know how to change samples which can sometimes suck, cause then once you change the beats in the machines,its hard to go back to what the original beat was in which it first started out as when you first played the music. lol. Thats the hard part if anyone agrees here. I'm just curious as to how u got "One More Time" on there. much help is needed.

It is a sampler and you do have to load your own sounds into it although it does come with factory sounds already on it that are not great but they do allow you to get an idea of what the machine can do

the beats are fine, it's the sample's that are out, cos he played them and recorded the sequence as he was playing.

So it is possible to load SOUND samples (I mean, sounds that are NOT DRUMS) in the drum part slots?
..and is it possible to load samples in the machine via a MIDI-USB cable instead a memory card?
I only got an EMX and if all this can be done, I'll surely manage to get a red one too.

all slots of the esx are sample slots, u can load in whatever sample u want.
so you wirte above, you changed the samples on your EMX? since exm is a rompler (read only memory sampler)
