  • Oh, Chongo!

  • i'm madly in luv withh "linc simmons" he is so gorgeous and sexy!!!!!!

  • I remember watching this show as a kid. It was awesome. My second favorite segment of the Banana Splits after the Arabian Knights.

  • Directed by Richard Donner

  • The theme to this show always gave me an erection. Still does. ;-]

  • TMI.

  • Lol, I guess you could say you have a BONE for danger! Ha ha ha! ...I thought it was funny...

  • Why do you think they kept those rapid fire pie in the face clips as part of the opening segment?

  • awesome. Total return to childhood days

  • I stumbled on to this by accident. Boy, does this bring back memories, ha. Is it ever coming out on DVD?

  • could this show be remade today? in a way I guess it has. It's called Survivor! I mean Survivor seems to have taken a lot from this even though it's a reality styled show

  • thanks so much for upload this !!!

    D.I. was weird but fun.

  • the beats are crazy...i wish these were on cds for sampling..

  • 1.30 onwards---amazing

  • Man, I haven't see this in almost 40 years! YouTube is the best invention ever!

  • man i wish tv today was as fun as stuff like this

  • I try him in Italian! What little I saw them all! Where can I find?

  • where did they film this show?

  • Yes,Richard Donner directed several episodes of the series which was in eight chapters as part of NBC's The Banana Splits Show. Danger Island was in fact the better show out of the rest of the series. This was also Hanna-Barbera's first-ever foray into a live action serial. The show made careers from Ronnie Troup and Jan-Michael Vincent, and also starred former NFL great Rockie Tarkington(formerly of the Tarzan TV series).

  • Donner also directed many Gilligan's Island".

  • "Okay, here I go again!" Not to be confused with a line in Whitesnake song!

Decided Danger Island was worth another go around so I'm watching the entire 36 episodes.

    Thanks kiwimike!

  • leave chango alone!

  • ahhhhh great show

  • UH OH CHANGO!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic!!!!!!

  • I absolutely loved this--liked a lot of features from the Banana Splits Hour, but Danger Island was the best to me.

  • Danger Island was the segment that I always looked forward to viewing. I like the four Banana Splits characters and as mentioned earlier, they reminded me of Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in for kids! I was so lucky to be a teen during the 60's.

  • I know that this "series" was directed by Richard Donner of "Superman: The Movie" and the "Lethal Weapon" movies... and it actually does have some of the frenetic energy of the latter mention. The editing style is not dissimilar.

  • This guy kiwimike is major league cool.

  • My earliest adolescent fantasies were of Leslie of Danger Island. She's my original damsel in distress.

  • Leslie really didn't make much of an impression on me, but I can understand the joy of finding your first damsel in distress.

  • DANGER ISLAND! YEEEEESSSS!!!!

  • HUGE VIVID FLASHBACKS FOR ME TOO!!!

This was on the air when I was about 4 or 5 - I had awful nightmares about being chased by the pirates and the tribespeople on the island.

  • @_@ ...i swear - i'm having flashbacks from this! SERIOUSLY!

  • uh oh chongo!!

    ultimate breaks and beats alert

  • Is that gorgeous man at 4.43 jan michael vincent? wow he looks so good!

  • I was overcome by my drooling just then,I meant at 0.04 seconds...lol!!!

  • I got a chance to meet Kim Kahana who played Chongo. Very bitter old man.

  • If you were a guy named Kim, wouldn't you be bitter?

  • That or maybe when people see him they yell: "Uh Oh, Chongo!" LOL!:)

  • to this day when danger appears i yell out "uh oh, chongo".

  • oh wow!! Thanks for this!!

  • classic greatness. Loved this stuff so much!

  • Does anyone know where this show was filmed? The scenery looks a lot like the U.S. Virgin Islands. Also, the captain sounds like a Frenchie.

  • it's all coming back to me now,,,

  • oh my gosh! What memories,,,,,,

  • what's a chubby?

  • a chubby is slang for an erection
