It was narrated from Mu’aadh ibn Jabal that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The people of Paradise will enter Paradise hairless and beardless, with kohl-rimmed eyes, all thirty or thirty-three years old.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2545).
The age of Aiesha is not the focal point here. The fact of the matter is that Mohammed consummated the marriage with her when she was 9. Yet, there is no problem here. Mohammed lived in 7th century Arabia and not a single one of his enemies called him a child molester or contested his marriage to Aiesha. Also, he consumated the marriage after Aiesha had her menses; i.e., she was a woman according to culture and science. It would be an ex post facto offense to judge mohammed by 21st century laws!

This is similar to Spain's law where the age of consent is 13 but if their is coercion or deceit on the part of the older party, it is criminal.

surat 38 refers to hoors ....u mite knw what hoor is? if you go in to tafseer of Quran ull get real picture cause undrstndin litraly accordin to ur own mind u mite get difrent version...n surah 56 also refr to hoors along wid worldly women,such as urself. nw here is tht of wht u tryin to say but if u goo into tafseer it indicate oll women will b of same age or other thing can b wht u sayin eqaul age of both men n women...

Lastly, there is no age requirement in Islam, but a husband cannot consummate his marriage until his wife physically able; i.e.,considered a women due to having her menses, which proves that she is now capable of conceiving a child. Also, as a mercy from allah, one is permitted to follow their age-related customs. So, if one is not cool with marrying a 9 year old, they can marry someone older than 21, etc. Whatever satisfies them. If w obey the quran & sunnah of Mohammed we will never go astray!

Until physical and mental maturity, you are committing a crime of oppressioin and taking advantage of a youth, whether you are a hypocrite justifying it to yourself (Islamically) or not. 3rd, With regard to earthly marriages, the quran says that our religion is completed, and nothing can be considered religion after Allah revealed 5:3......This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion..... Thus, no opinion can supersede Mohammed's example; i.e., he married women older and younger than himself; so we are permitted to do either and we are obeying his sunnah.

2nd, companions of equal age has nothing to do with the ideal age of earthly marriage. Why? Because in heaven we will be a new creation; both men and women will be 30 or 33 years of age; despite the fact that some of us are older. It was narrated from Mu’aadh ibn Jabal that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The people of Paradise will enter Paradise hairless and beardless, with kohl-rimmed eyes, all thirty or thirty-three years old.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2545).

The age of Aiesha is not the focal point here. The fact of the matter is that Mohammed consummated the marriage with her when she was 9. Yet, there is no problem here. Mohammed lived in 7th century Arabia and not a single one of his enemies called him a child molester or contested his marriage to Aiesha. Also, he consumated the marriage after Aiesha had her menses; i.e., she was a woman according to culture and science. It would be an ex post facto offense to judge mohammed by 21st century laws!

Many good points in this video, it seems like people that are against Islam always take that as a point against the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), that he married a 9 year old. For me it's quite difficult to defend, but your video is interesting in giving views.

Nonsense. Why would you believe facts based on hearsay that the noble Prophet married a six year old? Have people not seen how much the hadith totally contradicts the Qur'an? The Prophet is confirmed to have exalted character in the Qur'an, and the conditions for marriage have been laid down in the glorious book. Now if anyone can argue against a proper translation of the Qur'an (that doesnt use the sunni tafseer process) - anyone, "ex-muslim" or otherwise, I'm all ears.

I think you are suffering from cognitive bias - her age is in several sahih hadith, along with stories about her on swings & with dolls. Dont change the course of history just bcos your are determined to believe M really was hearing Gods voices in a cave.
Dont have to believe it just bcos your ancestors did. Sometimes we just have to realise somethings are obsolete & 1 story too far. I left religion 20 odd yrs ago & the more time that lapses, the more I am convinced Islam was manmade

Racism and slavery were seen as acceptable in the medieval times, yes, we CAN judge people from the past. People have let these things slide without thinking about what they were doing, yet people did exist in the past who had higher level morality than the acceptable at the time.

The Quran is clear about marriage.
Marriage is to occur between consenting, mature people. Surah 4:6, 4:21, 2:228, 65:4, 17:34
Aisha's name isn't in the Quran at all.
Those who say the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married a child commit slander. They will be dealt with by Allah on the Day of Judgment.

today people get married in there 30 or 40 but if somebody asks there mom she might say 18 or 20 and if you ask your grandmother she might say 16 or 15 standards change over time and women 1400 yrs ago matured faster because they struggled more in there daily life in the usa your allowed to wed at the age of 16 with the parents aproval and if you look in catholic books mary gave birth to jesus when she was 13yrs old so you cant hold people 1500yrs ago to to days standerds- and it was 9yrs

@bilalibnrabaah this is an excellent point, here in my area, we've studied the lives of the original peoples who lived here a thousand years ago (appx) and their life expectancies were in their 30's ... it was normal to begin reproducing at puberty ... at least this is according to the "scholars" who set up the museums and teach history

King Richard II in 1396 AD married 6 year old Princess Isabella of Valois, and was implicated in various scandals, yet it was the norm for those times. Even now the age of consent in Spain is 13, yet in Turkey it is 18.
It is always selective quotes and misinterpretations and ignorance used to promote hatred.

yes the age of consent in Turkey is 18 but if an 18 year man old sleeps with a 13 year old girl, he will not be prosecuted unless the girl files a complaint.It is not an automatic crime (and what parent in rural Turkey would want her daughter to have the stigma of premarital intercourse which would become public upon filing a complaint?) This is similar to Spain's law where the age of consent is 13 but if their is coercion or deceit on the part of the older party, it is criminal.
