  • This is most definetly taken from a TAS ( Tool assisted Speedrun ) , so the jumps are not that special ^^

  • Every game i played as a kid never scared me, but this one made me shit my pants!!

  • 8:05-9:43

    wow impecable jump timing...

  • I liked the part where he jumped.

  • WOW, so this game actually had some recognizable Castlevania tunes? awesome. Wish I'd played it.. I played and beat Castlevania64, but I think that whole soundtrack was pretty much new material, I didn't recognize any tracks. But watching this, shit, it has Castlevania 64 music remixed, and other Castlevania tunes I know

  • i haven't played this one, it looks good though. i hope it comes out on the virtual console.

  • @toptenmaterial I highly doubt, old games are not brought back much anymore

  • i like how people who never played these games rip on them because the graphics arnt good. graphics dont make a game, its the gameplay and the storyline and alot more stuff. and at the time these games were released, the graphics were way ahead of other consoles time. the n64 was truly a console that will be remembered for years to come.

  • Castlevania games are best played in 2D

  • This game is so underrated. I grew up with it and its one awsome game. The graphix arent the best, but it has a realy good, sinister OST. I got this feeling that many CV fans dont even know this game..

  • @mirrorpiece and the music is a masterpiece

  • That's a way to "Skip jump" through the game like a school kid :P

  • LOL thats my favorite castlevania game it took my brother and me 5 years to beat it because of villa

  • Wow... my brother and I also played it, and beat it within a couple of days. This was almost ten years ago too! Granted we did beat Castlevania 64 before, but still, 5 years? Did you start over every time you died?!

  • castlevania lod, silent hill + devil may cry for n64

  • I think this has by far the best version of "Bloody Tears". So many covers and variations out there, most have probably never heard this one.

  • @Chricton EXACTLY what i was thinking. : )

  • great music i remember when i played

  • This is video 462 of a series that is just showing off the great songs of games...... Not supposed to be about sound effects if that's what you're complaining about.

He gets his stuff from speedrun sites though, so if you could look those up you'll get the whole video and sound.

  • This is the best 3d Castlevania ever made. BY FAR!!! But when I was younger some of the bosses scared me.

  • The way the character jumps, especially when dodging the gigantic skeleton around 3:05 is just so freaking hysterical to me.

  • Yeah dude that is pretty gay

  • Tinkerbell looks pretty butch by comparision, yeah.

  • Thanks again for doing these.

  • I remain puzzled by a number of the plot and design choices for the game. The whole inconsistency of the Vampire Killer is a rather large hole here, as the recent games imply only the Morris line actually help the whip outside of the Belmonts.

Besides, which of the Castlevania 64 modes was canon? Reinhardt's or Carries?

  • Neither one is canon. Both C64 and LoD were taken out according to Castlevania Dungeon..

  • If you play as Cornell, the introduction to his story tells of prologue to their battle, and refers to them as the two young warriors who battle Dracula together.

There may be plot holes, but overall, I think it remains fairly solid. After all, it does have more story than it's predecessors! (SotN not included)

  • Yay! The expansion pak! Only play it at my friends house, but I could never get into Henry's mission.

  • so you like to play castlevania?

i loved this game i don't know what your problem is :D

btw where do you get this great game footage from, garudoh?

is this you playin cause if it is you pwn at every game ;D

  • All the power to Konamis Castlevania series and all, but am i glad to have missed this particular installment. the music isn't bad but as for the rest of the game... euuuuw

  • @berugaslabor you didnt even play it you dick.

  • Good music but like Castlevania 64, the game was horrible.

  • and just name off what was so horable in 64. i realy enjoyed it alt.

  • Bad camera, bad graphics (compared to other N64 games), bad story, BAD/annoying controls, no built in save feature, and technical issues (bad framerate at points and slowdown). Granted it was the first 3D Castlevania game and LoD fixed many technical issues (making it slightly more playable) but the 2 games were still pretty below average in all areas besides the music. Considering SotN came out around the same time on rival consoles, that made the N64 games look pretty bad in comparison.

  • i found none of those to be things that made me hate the game but actuly enjoy it more for it's dificulty. there where saves in the game and the controls where perfectly fine i thought, there isn't much story plot to the castlevania serise in the first place. dracula rise from the grave, you go through stages fighting bosses along the way and eventuly fight dracula, game over. you can add skripts and mini events along the way but that isn't really adding much to the game it's self.

  • i think they were both just too damn hard.

  • Castlevania rocks!!

  • sembra veramente brutto... looks horrible

  • I'm not even a fan of the Castlevania games, but for this mess to bear the title is shameful.

  • lol @ skipping around through dungeons

  • The 2 Castlevania on the N64 are the best 3D game from the series.

  • awesome 3d castlevania game shame it was so underated

  • Great Music too bad the game was just abysmal.
