  • taekwondo fastest like lightening .............

  • taekwondo is the heart of martial arts.taekwondo is great.

  • wahh this is my class lol

  • @crossan9415: what that guy means is TKD also has some grappling aspects but they mainly use the leg; the type of TKD that uses all types of skills ( punching kicking grappling using weapons nd etc) it's called hwarangdo.... I think that's were TKD orginates from.... But if u look closely at TKD it also had some fighting skills too, its cuz in Olympics they only execute the snapping kicks so it can make that sound for the judges to hear

  • what did the guy spray on his knee?

  • @marale396 i don't know the english name but it's freezing the point he got hit so he numbs it a bit ( soz for my english) " freezing spray"

  • why that blue guy dont use his front leg to kick??!! he got so many change to do it but no man....... lol

  • TKD sucks for many reasons but the main ones are that the kicks have little power and if you get a TKD fighter on the ground he cant do shit cuase he cant kick you while your punching his teeth out. Muay Thai FTW :D

  • @Crossan9415 i can tell you have much to learn... im in TKD and i would love to see you try and beat me in any fighting style. cause it aint about the style its the fighter. what u just said makes no sense and i laugh at it, when one can know so little but talk so much

  • @Crossan9415 Not really because tkd DOES learn how to punch people and they know some jujitsu too...I just started TKD and I already know that the kicks have a lot more power in it then you think. And poopw is right. Your just an idiot. Sure any martial art can be just as good as the other or greater but you sure have a lot to learn not to misjudge one.

  • @TwistedWarp WOW thanks for proving my point. You just said they do learn how to punch becuz they also do juijitsu which is a different martial art you retard.

  • @TwistedWarp and i haven't misjudjed it either because i studied this shit martial art for 3 years then i decided to study Muay Thai which is WWAAYYYY better. and the only kick that has any power at all is the tornado kick depending on how fast you spin.

  • @Crossan9415 3 yrs aint enough lol.. you havent learn anything dummy... you think tkd is an easy martial art.. im sure you havent achieve anything thats why u quit.. There is no better martial art lol just better fighter.. this is proves that you an fake fighter..

  • @Crossan9415 ppl like u have no clue what the real values of martial arts are, i can tell by your dumb comment.

real martial artists respect all martial arts

  • i love tkd...and i believe that the mistake that these athletes done is the fact that they play only with the one leg...

  • The red sounds like a girl

  • TRi massa

  • youtube fcking sucks now fuck youtube

  • The longer you watch the better it gets :)

  • this game is fun!for all that doubt tkd u knw what maybe u suck in it.train harder.korea kick the thai in the face1hahaha

  • i usede to think taekwondo was not good on the street but at the class i'm at they do leg kicks submissions they train you to kick a downed opponent the mistake allot of people make is they think if someone trains for taekwondo they dont know how how to box wrestle or use dirty street tactics

  • Not street applicable at all. Hands down by their sides = no defense, those stupid kicks to the ribs = great for scoring points, useless on the street, etc.. In class you'll do so many rotation kicks you'll think you're studing ballet. On the street, NEVER turn your back on an opponent - even for a split second. Let alone doing multiple rotations like a ballerina. Also, TKD lost it's sould when it became a SPORT vs. a martial art. Bring on the hate - I don't read replies anyway.

  • i wanna see one taekwondo fighter kick your ass and you run back to your mother

    asshole

  • mkoyuncu 06 sizlere tesekkürler bu güzel teakwondo videolarini gösterdiginiz icin devamlarini bekliyorum.

  • sucks, they throw 3 kicks in the whole match

  • right....

  • you dumb fuck

you cant just hand years of training and the world championship over to your opponent by making stupid mistakes

  • itf tkd-fighters are so fuckin' slow......

    they're movin' like my grandma

  • tkd is a martial art where you train speed and power, they´re just waiting for the failure of the other

  • too bad its not ITF dumass

  • this isnt itf?

  • jajaja!!!

    su espinillera está al revés!!!

  • intense triple kick at the end by korea

  • what da fuck was that spray he used?

  • it's called cold spray

it's a coolant that helps to take away the pain really quickly by cooling the muscle.

    super cold lol

i think they stopped selling it though

    at least at CVS xD

  • It's WD40.

  • hey motherfucker..instead of talkin shit on the internet, why dont u join wtf tkd and get ur head kicked off ur shoulders by tkd pro. come to saipan and fight me u faggot.

  • dont wste your time here.

    spent it eleswhere.

idiot malaka pas sto diabolo re sy

  • we don't bash fencing or wrestling for being unrealistic, kuz we kno iz just a sport..a game..with rules. so is tkd. anyways,Its like sumone arguing why "Chess n checkers" is'nt like real war...think about it. dis topic is old n silly. It just a martial sport now, its about da game, not real combat. so enjoy da game or just dont watch it, simple as dat.

  • btw Olympic tkd is a "Sport" so stop bashing on it, about how useless it is

  • Boxers fight wit there hands up, bekuz the distance between the fist and the opponents head and body are almost on the same plain. so its easier to block wen ur hands r up. While in taewondo the distance between the leg n medsection/head is greater bebuz the leg has to travel from the ground up, so having the arms held lower makes it easier to block n intercept kicks. =] dey aint stupid, dey just fight based on how da rules r set.

  • zijn zijnn egt slecht

  • can any one tell me the ruling in a medal match? pls reply! ok! wat is the rule 4 the gold medal match silver and bronze tnx 4 ur response

  • i dont like how red was fighting, is it me or did he come off a bit cocky?

  • They were both crazy fast. But I guess that's what one should expect at the World Championships at 54kg.

  • fast where? fast boucing their feet up and down and not fighting? boring!!

  • still faster than you'll ever be kid..

  • what was he spraying on his knee?

  • its like hot and ice but in a spray.

  • ok they look like tehy are 54kg notice size 2 chest-gear and look how monstrously big the ref looks compared to them

  • 54 kgs ? O_o thats really light for a fighter lol I weighed 54 kgs when i was 14 LOL tiny people!

  • flyweights or something... They are quick though...

  • ahahahahaha

    i know a fighter

    hes 19 hes 58 kgs

  • why dun u step in the ring and spar against those so called midget or men suffering from eating disorder ? if u cant, den stfu

  • so fast. this brutal ballet of reaction, speed, and power. I love it.

  • yes tkd is like a game of chess. make sure you make the right move but watch out for your opponents counter..its a beautiful art..thats why ive been in it for 9 years.

  • @etniesking well said

  • The most boring fight I have ever seen ! Fighters are jumping but they are not fighting ...

  • ulol kyo

  • if its so boring why the hell are you watching

  • i think this battle is boring..is not always well

  • also dropping the hands enables you to block easier.. reemmber most kicks r to the body

  • That guy would never have scored that round house kick at 5:50 if other dude hand his arm up and in front of his body.

  • most of the kyungos were for falling. It's by the book for 2007.

  • shukoninla hates azns but have an asian character, how pathetic...

  • tkd for 11 years-low arms don't hinder physical performance. taekwondo is a mind game rooted in subtle movement. your body tightens for large movement and spins for quick efficiency. low arms mask intentions to kick. there is no punching to the face, and only the fastest of competitors can head kick before an aware block. Also, body blocks are quicker low. i find help in swinging my upper body slightly, giving more foward motion in a kick. timed right, it is quick and effective.

  • blabla Taekwondo is useless.... muay thai and jiu jitsu are the way to go at least for now.

and never commit to one style only!

  • you are talking MMA; we are talking about elite TKD competetion; go find the MMA sites. as far as useless; i have never lost a fight on the street with Olympic TKD and a little boxing, and sprawling. every clown on you tube hops in anonymity, and punks peoples styles; not even Matt Hughes, or Randy Couture are praising styles and they are wrestlers; fighter make fights.

  • EXACTLY! nice comment!

  • yes yes. and i really hate when people make a difference between tkd and other grapling and ground styles...

  • blabla MMA is useless in TKD torunaments with TKD rules. At least for now.

And never commit to one mindset only!

  • those stupid azn s dont do shit but fake out and occasionally kick

  • You're not watching the really good fighters anyway. I've seen far superior sparring, oh and with competitors that actually keep there hands up to protect their body and their face.

  • After 20 years of Tae Kwon Do and as a Master of the Art. I keep my hands up and teach all my students to do the same. Keep your hands down, I guarantee you will get your face slapped with a foot or get knocked the fuck out. Keeping your hands down is for laziness not for faster reaction time. Besides, when I'm in close I want to use my hands to punch my opponent... Yes we in TKD use our fists once in a while.

  • so you think that you method is bette than all of these professional athletes??? welcome to reality.. try competing in international competition first, gain some respect, then try to change the method

  • Agreed. Keeping the hands up is basic. Putting hands down is arrogance. Having the hands down does not necessarily mean that it's faster in blocking the body, at least on the open side. With the hands up slightly midway up the chest it travels the same distance to block as when the hands are to the side of the body. Putting the hands up also function to maintain better balance during kicking motions and even non kicking motions.

  • I've trained the old skool way. Where it was a necessity to have hands up because during the 90's black belt sparring was much more exciting...TKD Athletes such as myself, did jumping back kicks, cut spin heel kicks, double, triple round houses, and etc. There were real head hunters then that looked forward to giveing a knock out kick. By today's standards TKD has increased more into a kiddie type cat and mouse "GAME". Instead of a true competitive sport regarding skills.

  • True, I know what you mean. We're of the same era in TKD and I'm sure it bothers you, as it does I, the way TKD is right now. Some of the things I saw during the Olympic matches were both shocking and disheartening. Sigh. Oh well times sure have changed.

  • Yeah. I'm not taking anything away from the athletes, because there were some good competitors and not so good competitors at the Olympics this year. But yeah, TKD now is all about the point. Where as when you and I competed it was all about the win... Hopefully WTF sees this as well and will end up changing the rules again in the next decade. TKD needs to have the excitement as it used to in order for it to survive.

  • uhh..... all the things u mentioned exists still today. I have an idea, why don't you try those against today's athletes? It won't work because today's fighters learned from the past and knows the DOs and DONTs.

Also, excitement is not what true Taekwondo offers. If you like seeing mindless kicks and punches, its called entertainment and demonstrations - search korean tigers for that. However, if you like seeing mind battles, anticipation, counters and correct timing, go watch today's tkd.

  • I disagree with you. Taking the chance and leaving yourself exposed for a brutal counter is what excitement and daring is all about. It is also the epitome of mind games. Conservative battle is as you say, better success rating. TKD is the most exciting and real daring is "empty mind". When I compete I will make things exciting again, and will be one of the best "chess" players you will ever see

  • so what are you a daredevil or a professional sport athlete? Obviously you've never seriously trained for competition. Let me ask you one question. You worked hard the whole year in your job and you saved up your money. Are you going to take all your money and risk it in a game of blackjack? If you've seriously trained for competition, are you going to risk all your efforts just to make it exciting? I'd say people train to win, cuz they arent entertainers, they are professional athletes

  • Hey you are right, and I realise I wasn't totally disagreeing with you, basic simplicity is what will win when in proper state of mind. Also you are right I have never trained seriously, I am only about to and plan to make my first tournament this November. Only as a white or yellow belt, I am not even in a formal school. All my sparring experience is with friends, none of which is TKD. They r Muy Thai, kickboxing, TangSooDo, and some hybrids. My comment came from the feeling I got few tim

  • (contd) times of just utter natural feeling. When in this state I usually did very simple evade and counter or some cool double kicks. Sometimes even precursor to flying kick. If I think 2 much I just freeze up, or concentrate 2 hard and just get beat up. Only when I'm "free" almost dancing that is where my character lies. In a utopia I would dance not fight. But I desperately want 2 compete and love TKD, really I like Taekkyun and Kichun, but can't effectively train in those.Ijustwant2fun

  • kyungos are given because TKD fighters are having bad sparring habits these days. Example, falling down too much, standing and not engaging in sparring, holding, pushing, and so on. I'm a TKD fighter myself and concerned how TKD competition is progressing. It's becoming just a kicking fight mostly using round house kicks. Very sad to say TKD is becoming an inefficient art of fighting.

  • this is competition not art though

  • i disagree. competition is an art, especially taekwondo. it's a psychological game, just like chess. to make someone want the point so bad, to pressure them into attacking prematurely, opening themselves up for the perfect counter... it's beautiful.

  • think of it like soccer, or football for the rest of the world (i know, a foot maybe touches the american football 8 or nine times during a whole game...); interleague and inter-country leagues were created to fuel the anger of young men into something productive. this type of taekwondo is not meant to fight to the death. it's competition, learning the rules and playing by them. but, it can kick ass in a real fight...

  • nah i totally agree with what ur saying..cuz yeah it can be used (in a certain way) in a real life situation. and the way u describe it is just like art. It takes practice, skill and development to fight like we do. But i call it competion cuz just like competion there are rules, setbacks etc and in the end WE WANT TO WIN. This sport goes both ways in art and comp., I agree but since the desired thing is to win i call it competition

  • the guy in red sounds funny (in a girlish tone) "ayaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

  • ....... damn i sound funny too then.

  • Oh yeah duh dont forget this is like respecting your oppenent and its different from like the sports you watch on t.v. Were you always learn to keep you hands up plus its much easier to dodge then to block then counter.

  • yup. id rather avoid the hit then counter than take a hit in a attempt to protect myself then counter..

  • at this level u never see them doing that usually.

i think its because the time it takes and they completely focus on offense and dont care nearly as much about the defense.

  • tell me why the fuck their hands are below their waist, they know their legs aren't gonna get kicked, so why the hell would they do such a stupid thing?

  • because for one, and it depends actually, but why i dont bring my hands up to guard my face is because i wouldn't want my opponent kickin my elbows and vise versa. Secondly because those fast kickers in our Olympic style world will sneak a kick in before you can drop your hands to block it. and most of the time you can see a head shot coming so you can bring your hands up for it. Droping the hands i guess provides more waist coverage. Personally speaking, that's why i do it.

  • hat doesst make sense. you ont block with your hands you block with your forearms. their forearms are at their midsection. retard

  • its actually pretty stupid to block with your

forearms, simply because they can break if you get kicked hard.

  • its not stupid. if you block with your forearms it will protect your body from getting hurt, and if you do break your arm, which is rare, it is better than breaking a rib or getting knocked out.

  • Before you guys start talking shit you don't know; I take TKD, World Taekwondo Federation is the video you're watching. We put our hands low durring tournaments because that way our reaction time is better and we can have a better awareness incase of headshots that might come from an obscure angle. In boxing, you have a fucked up view of your opponent, in TKD you can see everythng he does and his body language. Why have ur arm chambered to hit when your kicks are what count, anyway?

  • If you where told that your wrong. I competed for a very long time and made Nat Team once, yeah I know only once. But I also did Shotokan, Kyokushin, boxing, and now MuayThai and BJJ. Fighting styles and training are shaped, over time, by rules. Therefore having no punching to the head, you don't really need to spend energy keeping your arms up. So all this style comparaison is just stupid.

  • that responce was for deguimerautube

  • its not really stupid..theres a bunch of reasons for keeping the hands down. my view is all those doubles and the need to react, if one has their hands up like a boxer or something then its hard to commit those kicks the way they're meant to be commited. dropping the hands is a way of relaxing the body, getting loose so u can throw ur kick at its max. thats the way i see it. thats how it looks when i watch the fights too and when i fight myself

  • i agreed, the key to fast movements is relaxation =D

  • blue scored some points that they didnt count <br>

and yes i agree the kyungos are annoying

  • good fight

  • I agree. Everytime you turn around there's a Kyung-go. Gee I wonder why our Taekwondo federation is going through such hell now.

  • Im fucking tired of these nosy referees who keep giving stupid kyungos for "not fighting". They just want the attention on themselves. They are bouncing and checking for five or eight seconds and this loser white ref is giving no-fighting kyungos. Just wants his moment in the spotlight. After 30 seconds that warming should be given. He is interfering with experienced and talented strategists.
